  • Andrew McElroy, St. Thomas
    OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
    Andrew McElroy, St. Thomas

    (So., WR/RS, Bolingbrook, Illinois)
McElroy’s big day included 200 receiving yards to lead St. Thomas in a 49-42 PFL win against San Diego, Saturday. He had seven receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns – the first 200-yard receiving outing in the PFL this season. It also is the eighth 200-yard receiving day in the FCS. McElroy’s first touchdown was a 75-yard pass from Cade Sexauer to tie the game, 7-7, in the first quarter. After his 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown tied the game again at 35-35, he broke the tie with a 57-yard touchdown reception that gave the Tommies their first lead. Four of McElroy’s seven receptions went for a first down or touchdown in the game. He finished the game with 314 all-purpose yards with 121 kickoff return yards (minus-7 on punt returns).

  • Sam Schadek, Dayton
    DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
    Sam Schadek, Dayton

    (Sr., DT, Columbus, Ohio)
Schadek notched 4.5 tackles for loss, including 3.5 sacks, as Dayton secured a 31-24 PFL victory against Valparaiso, Saturday. The bulk of his damage came in the second half as he recorded 3.5 tackles for loss – all on sacks – and a hurry. On Valparaiso’s final two possessions, he had 2.5 sacks alone. After Dayton missed a potential go-ahead field goal with under six minutes left, Schadek was involved in back-to-back sacks that put Valparaiso in a 3rd-and-29 situation and ultimately forced a punt. Then after the Flyers scored the go-ahead touchdown with 13 seconds left, Schadek recorded a solo sack on the Beacons’ first play of the ensuing drive, helping secure the victory. He finished the day with five tackles, four of those solo stops.

  • Luke Paladino, Marist
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
    Luke Paladino, Marist

In the outing, he made all three of his field goal attempts and all three of his PATs that secured head coach Jim Parady’s 150th career victory. Paladino made field goals from 36, 48, and 22 yards, and his 48-yarder was the longest of his career and second-longest in the PFL this season. The 22-yarder was his 10th field goal made in 2022, making him the second PFL kicker to 10 field goals made this season.
