Tuesday, December 20, 2016 CHICAGO – A trio of Pioneer Football League athletes were named to the 2016 STATS FCS All-America Teams, Tuesday. Stetson senior defensive back Donald Payne pocketed his fourth First-Team All-America selection. In so doing, he earned his third-straight consensus All-American tag from the NCAA after also earning recognition on the Walter Camp Foundation, Associated Press and AFCA All-America teams prior to today's announcement. Drake tight end Eric Saubert was tapped as a second-team honoree for the third time this season, joining his selections on the Associated Press and AFCA squads. San Diego running back Jonah Hodges was selected to the third team as an all purpose runner. He finished the season ranked third among FCS players in total touchdowns (20), fourth in all-purpose yards (175.3 ypg), fourth in rushing touchdowns (18) and fifth in rushing yards (1,454). |
