Saturday, November 5, 2016 PFL RESULTS: WEEK 10 Morehead State 54, Butler 28 WEEK 10 RECAPS Morehead State 54, Butler 28 Gahafer threw three touchdowns as part of a game-opening barrage that put Morehead State ahead 34-0 with over two minutes left in the half and it never looked back. The Eagles quarterback found slot receiver Jake Raymond for 12 completions and 105 yards, helping Raymond become the PFL's career receptions leader (263). Jake Elliott also hauled in two touchdown passes as part of four catches for 149 yards. Quarterback Malcolm Weaver threw for all four Butler touchdowns, completing 20-of-37 passes for 207 yards. Wideout Pace Temple caught eight of those passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Dayton 37, Valparaiso 21 Jeske got Dayton on the baord first with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Adam Trautman. After Valparaiso tied the game, Jeske led the Flyers to 30 consecutive points, including three touchdown on his own legs. He finished with 307 total offensive yards, completing 18-of-24 passes for 248 yards while adding another 59 yards on nine carries. Valparaiso's three touchdowns each came on the ground. Running back Austin Petrie ran for two scores as part of his 14-carry, 76-yard performance. Running back Cody Boxrucker added the other touchdown in his six-carry, 28-yard outing. Drake 31, Jacksonville 27 Drake trailed 27-17 with 6:57 left in the game after Jacksonville running back Ulysses Bryant scored from four yards out. On the ensuing Bulldogs possession, Kraemer found tight end Eric Saubert for a three-yard touchdown to trim the deficit to three points. After Drake held Jacksonville to a three-and-out on its next possession, Kraemer led a 10-play, 79-yard drive that he capped with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Steven Doran to set the final score. Kraemer completed 15-of-29 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with Grant Menard five times for 142 yards. In addition, running back Conley Wilkins ended the day with 28 carries for 195 yards and a touchdown. Jacksonville quarterback Rylan Wells amassed a second straight 100-yard rushing performance, with 17 carries for 101 yards against Drake. He also completed 11-of-17 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown. Marist 45, Stetson 38 White led Marist to the game's first 24 points and a 38-14 lead with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Olivencia. Stetson quarterback Nick Andreas led a Stetson offensive 24-point outburst, throwing two touchdowns, and kicker Grant Amick tied the game with a 28-yard field goal with 57 seconds remaining. However, White needed just one play on the ensuing drive to break the tie. White finished the day with an impressive 446 offensive yards, passing for 344 and running for another 102 yards. He completed 25-of-46 passes for three touchdowns and added another touchdown on his nine carries. Meanwhile, Andreas nearly matched White's output, completing 24-of-42 passes for 339 yards and four touchdowns. Campbell 28, Davidson 0 Robbins' two touchdown passes were sandwiched between a pair of touchdown runs by Jared Joyner. Robbines completed 15-of-24 passes for 198 yards while Joyner had 32 carries for 184 yards. Davidson quarterback Stockton McGuire was limited to 9-of-37 passing for 112 yards. San Diego 49, UDLAP 25 The Toreros used a 28-0 second quarter to break the game open, Hodges bookended the quarter with his two touchdown runs. Hodges needed just seven carries for 48 yards to score his two touchdowns. In addition, quarterback Anthony Lawrence completed 16-of-20 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns. |
