JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University’s Colby Walden has been invited to the Washington Redskins’ upcoming rookie camp, which will be held Friday-Sunday (May 3-5) at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Va.

Walden wrapped up his Dolphins career this past fall by receiving FCS Third Team All-America honors from The Sports Network/Fathead.com. In 2012 he ranked 11th in the country and first in the Pioneer Football league in kickoff returns with an average of 27.2 yards per return.

He also returned kicks for touchdowns on consecutive weeks. His first was the game-winning score against Dayton and the next week he returned one 99 yards in the homecoming game against Marist.

Walden also recorded 16 tackles and nine pass breakups at cornerback for Jacksonville.

If he does not receive a free-agent contract offer to remain with the organization from Washington, Walden will remain a free agent and free to sign with any National Football League team.
