Butler, Drake and Jacksonville each won on the road to remain tied atop the PFL standings with 4-0 marks. In other action Dayton and San Diego both posted home victories. Davidson wideout Lanny Funsten caught a PFL record 17 passes against Jacksonville for 246 yards.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Jonathan Treloar's 20-yard field goal in the third quarter provided the winning margin as Butler downed Marist, 17-14, in Saturday PFL action at Tenney Stadium. The teams traded first quarter touchdowns before Butler took a 14-7 lead into halftime courtesy Matt Lancaster's 35-yard touchdown pass to Brendan Shannon. Marist responded quickly in the third quarter when Chuckie Looney found Michael Rios for a 42-yard touchdown catch-and-carry. Marist was forced to punt on its final three drives following Treloar's go-ahead field goal. Butler running back Trae Heeter finished with 25 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown while Shannon had 10 catches for 106 yards and a score. Looney led Marist with a 15-of-28 passing performance for 230 yards and two touchdowns.

JACKSONVILLE def. DAVIDSON, 34-24
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Jacksonville built a 17-point lead and then hung on for a 34-24 PFL victory against Davidson, Saturday at Richardson Stadium. Jacksonville led 24-10 at the halftime break and pushed the lead to 17 points with Dylan Lynch's 24-yard field goal that was the third quarter's only score. Davidson scored twice in the fourth quarter as quarterback Jonathan Carkhuff threw touchdown passes to Reese Williams and Garrett Diehl. However, Jacksonville split those touchdowns with Eric Baker's nine-yard run to secure the win. Davidson won a narrow 404-313 edge in passing yards, but could not overcome a Jacksonville 196-7 edge in rushing yardage. Baker led the Dolphins' run attack with 20 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown. Jacksonville wideout D'Andre Randle caught six passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Davidson wideout Jonathan Carkhuff caught a PFL record 17 passes for 246 yards

DAYTON def. MOREHEAD STATE, 41-27
DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton scored 24 unanswered points and rallied for a 41-27 PFL victory against Morehead State, Saturday, at Welcome Stadium. Morehead State took a 13-10 lead at the end of the first quarter when Zach Lewis found Justin Cornwall for a 45-yard touchdown. However, Dayton struck for two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the half, Will Bardo finding Nik Gillum and Ross Smith for touchdowns to take a 24-13 halftime lead. Pat Sankovic added a 24-yard field goal that was the third quarter's only points and Dan Jacob scoring on a 29-yard run to start the fourth frame to secure a 34-14 lead Dayton would not relinquish. The Flyers offense amassed 269 rushing yards, Connor Kacsor carrying the ball 13 times for 110 yards and a touchdown to lead the effort. Morehead State running back Rees MacShara recorded 16 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown.

VALPARAISO, Ind. – Drake scored the game's opening two touchdowns and made that early lead standup in a 35-21 PFL victory against Valparaiso, Saturday, at Brown Stadium. Drake scored on the opening kickoff when Mike Ratelle returned the boot 88 yards for a touchdown. The Bulldogs followed that with a touchdown on their second drive when Mike Piatkowski found T.J. James for a 10 yard touchdown. Valparaiso would not go away and scored on its ensuing drive and stayed within a touchdown until Drake's Trey Morse scored on a 29-yard run late in the fourth quarter. Piatkowski led Drake with a 22-of-36 passing effort for 327 yards and a touchdown, as he combined with Jacob Schmudlach seven times for 143 yards. Running back Jake Hutson carried the ball 25 times for 98 yards to lead Valpraiso's offense.
