DUQUESNE def. DAYTON, 17-7
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Duquesne scored touchdowns on its first two fourth-quarter drives to down Dayton, 17-7, in non-conference action at Rooney Field, Saturday. There wasn't a lot of offense in a game that featured 685 yards total offense. The Dukes scored a field goal on their first possession and Dayton responded on its ensuing drive with a touchdown. However, neither team would find the end zone in the second or third quarters – the Flyers missing a 42-yard field goal attempt in the second and then a 40-yard try in the third quarter for the only possessions not ending in a punt. Duquesne quarterback Sean Patterson led his team on scoring drives of 77 and 80 yards to start the fourth quarter and post the come-from-behind victory. Dayton quarterback Will Bardo completed 21-of-42 passes for 232 yards and ran 15 times for another 50 yards and a touchdown.
