281 Student-Athletes Named in League�s First Honor Roll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. � More than 250 student-athletes from nine member institutions were named to the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2001 semester.

Pioneer Football League athletic directors and coaches established the honor roll this season as a way to recognize the league�s outstanding student-athletes. The academic honor roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the fall semester and posted a 3.0 grade-point average or higher while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.

Four of the member schools posted at least 30 members on the honor roll, including the University of San Diego, which placed 48 members, and the University of Dayton, which had 46 student-athletes on the list.
