Offensive

Carter Cravens, Morehead State (Sophomore (RS), Quarterback, Cypress, Texas)

Cravens was responsible for three touchdowns in Morehead State’s 31-7 PFL victory against Dayton Saturday. He passed for two touchdowns and ran for another in the win. He opened the day’s scoring with a 56-yard touchdown completion to Trevon Kleint and later had a 26-yard completion to Ryan Upp, that put the Eagles ahead for good. Cravens also capped the day’s scoring with a two-yard touchdown run. He completed 19-of-26 passes for 291 yards and ran for 32 yards on six carries, ending the day with 323 of Morehead State’s 385 offensive yards.

Others Nominated

  • Devon Brewer, Stetson (Grad., Running Back, Baltimore, Md.) had two fourth-quarter touchdowns as part of a 25-carry, 98-yard day to help Stetson defeat Presbyterian.
  • Carter Cravens, Morehead State (RSo., Quarterback, Cypress, Texas) was responsible for three touchdowns in a win against Dayton, passing for two scores and 291 yards and rushing for another and 32 yards.
  • Jeffrey Jackson, Valparaiso (6th Yr., Quarterback, San Diego, Calif.) came off the bench and provided two fourth-quarter touchdowns with his five completions going for 62 yards against Drake.
  • Ty Englehart, Presbyterian (So., Quarterback, Melbourne, Fla.) was responsible for three touchdowns against Stetson, passing for 201 yards and two touchdowns while running for a score and 23 yards.
  • Mitchell January, Drake (So., Wide Receiver, Richfield, Minn.) caught two passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in a win against Valparaiso.

Defensive

Keenan Wolf, Morehead State (Junior (RS), Linebacker, Fresno, California)

Wolf led all PFL tacklers with 15 stops and led a Morehead State defense that held Dayton scoreless for the final 45:48 of a 31-7 PFL victory Saturday. He also forced a fumble and had a pass breakup. Wolf’s pass breakup came on the second half’s opening drive and helped force a three-and-out. He started the fourth quarter by forcing a fumble, which Morehead State recovered to set up the game’s final scoring drive.

Others Nominated

  • Ezekiel Romero, Stetson (So., Defensive Lineman, Jacksonville, Fla.) credited with 2.5 sacks and forced a fumble on a four-tackle outing in a win against Presbyterian.
  • Cole Hildebrand, Dayton (RJr., Safety, Cincinnati, Ohio) had eight tackles (six solo) at Morehead State.
  • Dominic Dutton, Marist (RJr., Defensive End, Cleveland, Ohio) recorded four tackles (three solo), two sacks, a strip-sack, and a pass breakup at Columbia.
  • Sam Hafner, Valparaiso (RJr., Defensive Lineman, Green Bay, Wis.) finished with six tackles (four solo), a tackle for loss, and recovered a fumble at Drake.
  • Jack Mohler, St. Thomas (Sr., Linebacker, Woodbury, Minn.) led the Tommies with nine tackles (four solo) and a sack in a win against Butler.
  • Jacob Thompson, Drake (Sr., Linebacker, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) had two tackles for loss, including a sack, in a seven-tackle outing (five solo) that also included a pair of pass breakups in a win against Valparaiso.

Special Teams

Shane Dunning, Drake (Senior, Kicker/Punter, Muskego, Wisconsin)

Made a career-best 42-yard field goal and was responsible for eight points in Drake’s 20-14 PFL victory against Valparaiso, Saturday. His 23-yard field goal in the second quarter put Drake ahead 10-0, and his 42-yarder in the fourth quarter put the Bulldogs up 20-7. Dunning also handled punting duties, with his nine punts averaging 34.6 yards and three being downed inside the 20-yard line. He also had one touchback on three kickoff attempts.

  • Brandon Bush, Stetson (So., Kicker, Fort Myers, Fla.) converted all four PATs and had a touchback on four kickoffs in a win against Presbyterian.
  • Gavin Lochow, Dayton (Fr., Wide Receiver, Proctorville, Ohio) averaged 24.0 yards on four kickoff returns at Morehead State.
  • Thomas Schwartz V, Morehead State (RFR., Kicker, Treynor, Iowa) made a 25-yard field goal and all four PATs while filling in for an injured starter against Dayton.
  • Jashon Butler, Valparaiso (RSr., Return Specialist, Lynwood, Ariz.) returned a kickoff 48 yards on his only attempt of the day at Drake.
