DAVIDSON, N.C. – Nine Pioneer Football League student-athletes have received preseason recognition on College Football Performance Awards preseason watch list at their respective special teams positions. In total, CFPA has recognized 26 PFL student-athletes this summer with the special teams watch lists to be announced.

Throughout the summer the CFPA has released its preseason watch lists by position for athletes in the Football Championship Subdivision. Each list highlights players whose performance merits recognition entering the season.

The purpose of the CFPA is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferment in college football. All CFPA recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration.

The watch lists included the following categories: quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, defensive line, linebacker, defensive back, placekicker, punter, all-purpose, kickoff returner and punt returner.
