ST. LOUIS, Mo. � The Pioneer Football League announced its 13th annual all-conference selections, Wednesday, with 53 players receiving first-team honors.

PFL North Champion San Diego fielded eight first-time first-team honorees, senior wide receiver Adam Hannula moved up from honorable mention honors in 2004 to claim first-team recognition in 2005. The PFL North had only four repeat first-team honorees: Drake running back Scott Phaydavong, Dayton offensive lineman Ryan Winner, Dayton linebacker John Hoppe and Drake punter Ryan Horvath. The first-team All-PFL North squad is a veteran team with 14 seniors, six juniors and seven sophomores among its honorees.

The PFL South team is led by Morehead State�s nine first-time, first-team selections. Jacksonville punter/placekicker Ryan Feely was a repeat honoree at both positions, one of six returning first-team honorees. The five other repeat honorees are Davidson wide receiver Brett Dioguardi, Austin Peay running back Chris Fletcher, Jacksonville offensive lineman Pat Rich, Jacksonville defensive lineman Jason Bense and Jacksonville linebacker Brandon Torre. The PFL South team is composed of two freshmen, five sophomores, eight juniors and 11 seniors.

The Pioneer Football League will hold its fifth � and final � championship game at 7 p.m. (EST), Saturday, in San Diego, Calif., as PFL North champion San Diego hosts PFL South champion Morehead State.
