PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE

Jon Polk, San Diego
Junior, Running Back
Compton, Calif. (Dominguez HS)
Normally San Diegos blocking back, Polk got a shot at the limelight, stepping in for injured halfbacks JT Rogan and Kevin Herron. He responded with 17 carries for 69 yards and a school-record four touchdowns. His 24 points were more than half of USDs total output in a 42-35 non-conference victory.

DEFENSE
Alex Arinsmier, Davidson
Senior, Linebacker
Cincinnati, Ohio (Oak Hills HS)
Arinsmier led all players with 16 tackles (7 solo), including a sack to lead Davidson to a 10-3 non-conference victory at Georgetown. It is the third time this year Arinsmier has posted 16 tackles in a game and the fifth-straight game in which he had at least double-digit tackles.

CO-SPECIAL TEAMS
Jonathon Thrasher, Davidson
Freshman, Punter
Snow Camp, N.C. (Southern Alamance HS)
Thrasher punted seven times for 305 yards (43.6 ypp) to help win a game of field position at Georgetown. With only four punts prior to the season finale, he pinned Georgetown inside its own 10-yard line three times. He also kicked a 67-yard punt second-longest in the PFL this season in the fourth quarter when it mattered most.
 AND
Joe Blahowicz, Valparaiso
Senior, Punter
Buffalo, N.Y. (Erie CC)
In another defensive struggle, Blahowicz punted five times for 229 yards (45.8 ypp), placing two inside the oppositions 20-yard line. He booted a PFL season-best 68-yard punt.
