The 1-2 punch of running back JT Rogan, who scored four touchdowns, and quarterback Josh Johnson, who was responsible for four touchdowns, led San Diego to a convincing 48-24 win over previously unbeaten Dayton. Rogan rushed 30 times for 180 yards and three touchdowns and added a three-yard touchdown reception to finish with 24 points. Meanwhile, backfield-mate Johnson went 21-for-29 passing for 257 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed 10 times for 84 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown scamper.

DEFENSE

Hawkins led a Toreros defense which held Dayton scoreless in the second half on the way to a 48-24 PFL North victory. He was literally everywhere, recording a team-best 12 tackles (7 solo). Hawkins� four tackles for loss, including a quarterback sack, are the best by a PFL defensive player this season.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Dowdy opened the Butler-Valparaiso contest with a 98-yard return of the opening kickoff for a touchdown � the longest kickoff return for a touchdown in Division I-AA this season and a Butler school record. He finished the day with two kickoff returns for 114 yards and a punt return for 12 yards. All of that was in addition to his defensive duties where he racked up eight tackles, including a tackle for loss, and broke up one pass. However, it wasn�t enough as Valparaiso picked up the PFL North victory, 34-21.
