DeFilippo was responsible for five touchdowns in less than three quarters as Stetson downed Division II North Carolina Wesleyan, 55-21, Saturday. Staying on through just the first drive of the second half, DiFilippo completed 21-of-24 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for two touchdowns on five carries totaling 51 yards. After North Carolina Wesleyan raced out to a 13-0 lead, DiFilippo got Stetson on the board with his first rushing touchdown. He closed the first half with three second-quarter touchdown throws. In his lone drive of the second half, DiFilippo ran in from 19 yards out to close his outing with Stetson leading 45-14. He has not thrown an interception in 2019, completing 94 of 141 passes.

Jeran Proctor, Drake
Junior | Defensive Back Johnston, Iowa
Proctor’s late second quarter interception put Drake in position for a quick touchdown before halftime in a 41-17 PFL victory, Saturday. Proctor’s first statable action was an interception with under 30 seconds left that he returned 54 yards to the Marist 21-yard line. Two plays later, Drake scored a touchdown to extend its lead to 27-3. He also had three tackles, including one for a loss, in the win.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Connor Wilson, Stetson
Wilson’s scoop-and-score of a blocked punt in the first half was a key insurance touchdown in a 55-21 victory against North Caroline Wesleyan. After Stetson grabbed its first lead 14-10, Davion Maxwell blocked a punt deep in North Carolina Wesleyan territory and Wilson picked up the loose ball and returned it 12 yards for a touchdown. It was Stetson’s first special teams touchdown since 2017.
