Tuesday, December 10, 2019 AUSTIN, Texas – Six Pioneer Football League student-athletes were named to the 2019 Academic All-America® Division I Football Teams selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Drake offensive lineman Jacob Bacon and Butler running back Brad Sznajder were among the 13 repeat selections to the Academic All-America® Division I Football Teams. Bacon is a two-time First-Team Academic All-America® selection and Sznajder is a two-time Second-Team Academic All-America® pick. The 2019 Academic All-America® Division I Football Team selected by CoSIDA features 21 members with a 4.0 GPA and 36 members with at least a 3.90 GPA as either undergraduate or graduate student-athletes. The 25 members on the first team have an average GPA of 3.95. The Pioneer Football League saw 17 student-athletes named to the 2019 Academic All-District® Teams selected by CoSIDA. The 2019 Academic All-District® Football Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
