Dayton 13, Robert Morris 0
DAYTON, Ohio – Running back Jack Adams ran for a touchdown as Dayton defeated Robert Morris, 13-0, in a nonconference tilt shortened due to weather, Saturday, at Welcome Stadium. Adams scored the game's lone touchdown midway through the second quarter. Kicker William Will added the extra point and then field goals of 20 and 29 yards before the game was halted due to lightning midway through the fourth quarter and could not be resumed. Adams finished with 67 yards on 25 carries. Flyers quarterback Alex Jeske completed 16-of-31 passes for 221 yards.

Sacred Heart 42, Valparaiso 14
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart scored 28 consecutive points to start the second quarter in a 42-14 victory against Valparaiso, Saturday, at Campus Field. Valparaiso rallied to tie the game at 7-7 when quarterback Jimmy Seewald found wideout Jean Rene for a 36-yard touchdown strike. But the Pioneers scored the game's next 28 points before the Crusaders found the end zone again when Seewald hit Griffin Norberg from five yards out. Seewald completed 14-of-29 passes for 137 yards and his two touchdon throws.

Davidson 35, Kentucky Wesleyan 21
OWENSBORO, Ky. – Davidson scored the game's first 28 points and rolled to a 35-21 nonconference win against Kentucky Wesleyan, Saturday, at Steele Stadium. The Wildcats first two scores came via the ground game as Giftson Bornelus scored from 29 yards out in the first quarter followed by Keylan Brown's 15-yard scoring dash in the second. Davidson quarterback Taylor Mitchell then added a pair of touchdown passes to push the lead to 28-0. Mitchell completed 8-of-16 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Brown ended the day with 95 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown.

Campbell 47, Chowan 14
MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Elijah Burress and Aaron Blockmon connected for four touchdown passes to lead Campbell past Chowan, 47-14, in Saturday nonconference action at Garrison Stadium. Burress connected with Blockmon for a 31-yard touchdown strike on the game's opening possession then, after Chowan tied the game, the duo hit from 45 yards out to put the Camels ahead for good. The two would later add an eight-yard touchdown catch-and-carry before capping their day with a 68-yard scoring burst. Burress completed 17-of-22 passes for 255 yards, finding Blockmon for six receptions totalling 172 yards.

Georgetown 20, Marist 17
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist saw a lead slip through its fingers in the fourth quater, dropping a 20-17 decision to Georgetown, Saturday at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes grabbed a 7-3 lead in the first quarter when quarterback Mike White found wideout Juston Christian for a 50-yard touchdown. After Georgetown grabbed the lead late in the third quarter, White struck again with a 29-yard scoring pass to Jon Kanda for a 17-13 lead. The Marist lead would last until the 12:03 mark of the fourth quater when Tim Barnes capped a scoring drive with a three-yard pass to Justin Harrell to set the final score. White completed 15-of-36 passes for 234 yards and a pair of scores.

VMI 17, Morehead State 13
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State closed within a touchdown in the fourth quarter but could not piece together another scoring drive in a 17-13 loss to VMI, Saturday, at Jayne Stadium. Quarterback Austin Gahafer connected with Darius Pritchett for a 17-yard touchdown to set the final score. The Eagles would have two more possessions, but fumbled on one and punted on the other. Gahafer completed 28-of-51 passes for 250 yards, completing a pass to 10 different receivers.

Stetson 30, Warner 15
DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson scored the game's first 20 points in less than 16 minutes then held on for a 30-15 nonconference victory against Warner, Saturday, at Spec Martin Stadium. Mike Yonker's six-yard run with 14:07 left in the first half put Stetson ahead 20-0. The Hatters extended their lead to 27-3 at halftime when quaterback Gaven DeFilippo found Donald Parham for a six-yard touchdown pass and Stetson would not look back. DeFilippo completed 24-of-36 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Yonker touched the ball five times (three rushes, two receptions) but scored twice.

Liberty 55, Jacksonville 7
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty broke out to a 31-0 halftime lead before posting a 55-7 final score against Jacksonville, Saturday, at Williams Stadium. Jacksonville quarterback Rylan Wells completed 11-of-19 passes for 126 yards while running back Ulysses Bryant amassed 75 yards on 13 carries. Running back Pernell Rattray broke up Liberty's shutout bid with a 20-yard run to start the fourth quarter.

South Dakota State 56, Drake 28
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Nationally-ranked South Dakota State scored 21 unanswered points in the first quarter and didn't look back ina 56-28 nonconference win against Drake, Saturday, at Dykhouse Stadium. After the Jackrabbits jumped out to their 21-0 lead, Drake battled back with 14 points in the second quarter. Running back Conley Wilkins' three-yard run with 35 seconds trimmed the deficit to 28-14 at halftime. However, SDSU scored the second half's first 21 points, extending its lead to 49-14. Drake got an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Drew Lauer and quarterback Grant Kraemer found Andrew Yarwood for a touchdown catch-and-carry to set the final score. Kraemer completed 12-of-18 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.

Cal Poly 38, San Diego 16
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – San  Diego led Cal Poly late in the second quarter but could not hold on in a 38-16 nonconference loss, Saturday, at Spanos Stadium. Cal Poly jumped out to a 10-0 lead but San Diego saw quarterback Anthony Lawrence throw for touchdowns to start the second quarter and with 50 seconds left in the half. The latter put the Toreros ahead 13-10, but the Mustangs needed just 39 seconds to score again and take a 17-13 halftime lead they would not relinquish. Lawrence completed 15-of-24 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns, finding wide out Ross Dwelley twice as part of the latter's nine-catch, 97-yard performance.
