Marist 31, Davidson 10 RECAPSMarist defeated Davidson, 31-10 DAVIDSON, N.C. – Marist scored the game's final 31 points to post a 31-10 PFL victory against Davidson, Saturday, at Richardson Stadium. Davidson scored the game's first 10 points, Taylor Mitchell finding William Morris for a 92-yard touchdown for the 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Marist grabbed the lead in the third quarter with two touchdowns in 22 seconds, Marcellus Calhoun on a 14-yard run and Garrett Clay on a 12-yard dash. Michael White paced Marist with a 24-for-45 passing performance for 271 yards and a touchdown. Morris caught three passes for 106 yards and a touchdown for Davidson. MARIST RECAP: Wildcats Defeat Kentucky Wesleyan in Overtime, 14-7 Drake defeated Jacksonville, 28-24 DES MOINES, Iowa – Andy Rice threw two fourth quarter touchdowns to lead Drake past Jacksonville, 28-24, in PFL action at Drake Stadium. Jacksonville, which suffered its season's first loss, scored 21 straight points to build a 24-14 lead after three quarters. Rice cut the deficit early in the fourth quarter when he found Eric Saubert for a 10-yard touchdown. Ten minutes later, Rice struck again with a 19-yard pass to Andrew Yarwood for the game-winning score. Rice completed 24-of-39 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns – three finding Saubert who caught nine passes for 118 yards. Jacksonville's Kade Bell completed 22-of-38 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. DRAKE RECAP: Football Completes Fourth-Quarter Comeback To Beat Jacksonville, 28-24 Stetson defeated Valparaiso, 37-14 VALPARAISO, Ind. – Stetson scored the game's first 21 points and held on for a 37-14 PFL victory against Valparaiso, Saturday, at Brown Stadium. Stetson Chris Atkins capped the game-opening run with a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown and the 21-0 lead with 1:38 left in the first half. James LaGamma and Grant Amick then combined on a trio of field goals to extend the lead further. Stetson quarterback Ryan Tentler completed 12-of-17 passes for 130 yards while Valparaiso quarterback Ryan Clarke went 16-of-27 passing for 109 yards and a touchdown. STETSON RECAP: Wildcats Defeat Kentucky Wesleyan in Overtime, 14-7 Morehead State defeated Campbell, 31-27 MOREHEAD, Ky. – Christian Robinson's two-yard touchdown run with 14 seconds left helped Morehead State escape with a 31-27 PFL victory against Campbell, Saturday, at Barker-Lane Stadium. Morehead State outgained Campbell, 512-253, but led just 17-13 after three quarters. The Camels and Eagles combined for four fourth quarter scores, Robinson running for two touchdowns, each capping a 60-plus yard drive. Morehead State's Austin Gahafer completed 35-of-58 passing for 328 yards but did not throw a touchdown and was intercepted twice. Instead, the Eagles scored four rushing touchdowns as part of a 30-carry, 174-yard rushing effort. The Camels stayed in the game thanks to defense and special teams. Aaron Blockmon returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and Chris Beaty returned an interception 50 yards for a second-quarter touchdown. MOREHEAD STATE RECAP: Wildcats Defeat Kentucky Wesleyan in Overtime, 14-7 Dayton defeated Butler, 27-24 DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton stayed among the ranks of the unbeaten with a fourth-quarter burst in a 27-24 PFL victory against Butler, Saturday, at Welcome Stadium. Trailing 24-14 with 10:45 remaining in the third quarter, kicker William Will hit two field goals within 4:21 to cut the deficit to 24-20. Midway through the fourth quarter running back Tucker Yinger broke off a 50-yard touchdown run to grab the lead then held off the Bulldogs. Butler's final possesion ended with a missed 42-yard field goal and Dayton kneeled out the game. Butler quarterback Matt Shiltz passed for 319 yards and a two touchdowns and ran for 59 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Dayton quarterback Alex Jeske completed 22-of-38 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown. DAYTON RECAP: Flyers rally past Butler, win 27-24 San Diego defeated Warner, 45-14 SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Anthony Lawrence passed for four touchdowns and led San Diego to a 45-14 nonconference victory against Warner, Saturday, at Torero Stadium. The Toreros scored the game's first 14 points and closed the game with the final 24 points.
