CAMPBELL defeats Pikeville, 41-20

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Running back De'Shawn Jones ran for a career-high 189 yards as Campbell outlasted Pikeville, 41-20, in nonconference action at Barker-Lane Stadium. Jones' night included a 60-yard touchdown run and an earlier 50-yard dash that broke the Camels' single-game record set in 2011. His rushing performance set the tone for the Camels offense that needed all of its 468 total yards to overcome a four turnover outing. Campbell linebacker Ugonna Awuruonye led the defense with seven tackles.
