San Diego-Marist PFL contest postponed due to Hurricane Sandy effects

ST. LOUIS – The Pioneer Football League contest between San Diego and Marist which was scheduled to be played Saturday, Nov. 3 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has been postponed due to the lingering effects of Hurricane Sandy throughout the East Coast.

Both teams continue to work together to reschedule the contest and a makeup date, if one is scheduled, will be announced at a later date.

Statement from PFL Commissioner Patty Viverito:
“Due to the devastating impact of Hurricane Sandy throughout the East Coast and the resulting cancellation of flights, the University of San Diego football team is unable to travel to Marist College this weekend. Consequently, the Pioneer Football League game between San Diego and Marist scheduled on Saturday, November 3rd has been cancelled. Both schools are working diligently to try to reschedule the game for Saturday, December 1st. A decision will be made on this matter as expeditiously as possible.”
