POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Senior cornerback Jaquan Bryant and senior wide receiver Kevin Fitzpatrick of the Marist football team will be headed to NFL Rookie Minicamps later this month. Bryant will be participating in Oakland Raiders’ minicamp, and Fitzpatrick will compete in Buffalo Bills’ minicamp.

Bryant was a three-year starter at cornerback for the Red Foxes who earned All-Pioneer Football League (PFL) honors each of those years. He was a Second Team selection in 2009, an Honorable Mention choice in 2010, and a First Team selection in 2011. Bryant was also an Honorable Mention selection as a return specialist in 2009 and 2011. He led the Red Foxes this past season in interceptions (four), pass break-ups (five) and solo tackles (41). In his career, Bryant recorded 11 interceptions. He ran two back for touchdowns at Sacred Heart on Sept. 5, 2009.

Fitzpatrick enjoyed a breakout senior season in 2011, as he was named Honorable Mention All-PFL. He had career highs of 49 receptions, 601 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. The total of catches and yards led the Red Foxes, and the receiving touchdowns tied for the team lead. Fitzpatrick played in all 44 of Marist’s games in his career, and accumulated totals of 97 receptions, 1,232 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns – all of which rank fourth in the program’s Football Championship Subdivision history.
