CHARLOTTE, N.C. – San Diego's Kenny James was the lone Pioneer Football League representative on the College Football Performance Awards preseason watch list at running back, the league announced, Monday.

James was a unanimous first-team All-PFL selection last season for the PFL champion Toreros. He finished second among all Division I FCS runners in all-purpose yardage, averaging 201.3 yards per game. That total included rushing totals of 1,151 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The goal of College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.
