CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Butler's Jordan Ridley and Drake's Tyler Moorehead, both first-team All-Pioneer Football League selections in 2011, were named to the College Football Performance Awards' preseason watch list at linebacker, the organization announced Monday.

Butler's Ridley was the only PFL defender to average double-digit tackles in 2011, posting 140 stops in 11 games, and his 12.7 tackles per game ranked fifth nationally among all FCS defensive players. Ridley also was one of 10 PFL players to record multiple forced fumbles last season, forcing three fumbles.

Darke's Moorehead was a unanimous first-team selection last season and returns for his fifth year after leading the league with 21 tackles for loss, his 1.91 per game mark ranking eighth among all PFL tacklers. He also averaged 7.1 tackles per game, ranking fourth among the league's linebackers in the category.

The goal of College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.
