PFL Alumni in the NFL: Week 1

The Pioneer Football League saw six alumni on NFL active rosters to begin the 2022 NFL campaign. Five saw action during the league's opening weekend. Here is a quick snapshot of their performances.

  • Donald Parham Jr., Tight End, Los Angeles Chargers (Stetson) | Parham did not see action in the Chargers season-opening loss to Las Vegas.
  • Adam Trautman, Tight End, New Orleans Saints (Dayton) | Trautman saw action on 29 snaps in New Orleans' victory at Atlanta.
  • Ross Dwelley, Tight End, San Francisco 49ers (San Diego) | Dwelley saw action on 38 snaps in San Francisco's loss at Chicago and had one reception for 11 yards.
  • Jamal Agnew, Wide Receiver, Jacksonville Jaguars (San Diego) | True to his all-purpose back role, Agnew had a rush for six yards, a reception for six yards, and a punt return of two yards in Jacksonville's loss at Washington.
  • Jason Myers, Kicker, Seattle Seahawks (Marist) | Myers connected on a 49-yard field goal and two extra-point tries in Seattle's victory against Denver.
  • Eric Saubert, Tight End, Denver Broncos (Drake) | Saubert saw action on 32 plays in Denver's win at Seattle and was credited with a special teams tackle.

The following PFL alumni were listed on an NFL practice squad roster in Week 1: 

  • Josh Johnson, Quarterback, San Francisco 49ers (San Diego)
  • Michael Bandy, Wide Receiver, L.A. Chargers (San Diego)
  • Michael Niese, Offensive Lineman, Chicago (Dayton)
