Marist 20, Dayton 17
DAYTON, Ohio – Mekhai Johnson had a 91-yard kickoff return and Luke Paladino hit a 29-yard field goal in the third quarter to lead Marist past Dayton, 20-17, Saturday. Dayton tied the game, 10-10, with 5:34 left when Jack Cook connected with Sam Bubonics for a 13-yard touchdown pass. However, Johnson returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown to give Marist a 17-10 halftime lead. Paladino's second field goal supplied the third quarter's only points for a 20-10 lead. Dayton would close within that field goal midway through the fourth quarter when Jake Chisholm scored a one-yard touchdown. The Flyers saw their next possession end on downs near midfield and muffed a Marist punt with 16 seconds left to set the final score.  Johnson finished the game with 183 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, adding a 33-yard score for the game's first touchdown. Cook completed 20-of-28 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown.

St. Thomas 38, Stetson 7
DELAND, Fla. – On the first play from scrimmage, Hope Adebayo broke loose for a 78-yard touchdown run – the first of his three first quarter touchdown runs – to lead St. Thomas past Stetson, 38-7, Saturday. After the 78-yard burst, Adebayo added touchdown runs of two yards and 12 yards – both after Stetson turnovers – to take a 21-0 lead. He would add a 14-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give the Tommies a 35-0 lead. Stetson's Alex Piccirilli broke up the shutout with his six-yard touchdown run on the ensuing drive, setting the final score. Adebayo, making his first collegiate start, finished with 20 carries for 182 yards and four touchdown. Piccirilli passed for 94 yards and ran for another 77 yards.

Morehead State 31, Butler 8
MOREHEAD, Ky. – BJ Byrd caught two touchdown passes and Morehead State's defense allowed just 189 yards in a 31-8 victory against Butler, Saturday. Byrd's two touchdown receptions came in the third quarter and capped Morehead State's 24-0 game-opening outburst. Butler opened the fourth quarter with a 13-play, 83-yard scoring drive capped by Joey Suchy's two-yard touchdown run, but could not score again. Byrd ended the day with nine receptions for 121 yards, with touchdown catches of 17 and 16 yards.

San Diego 13, Drake 10
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Brandon Eickert's 44-yard field goal with 9:50 left in the game broke a 10-10 tie and proved to be the game-winner as San Diego downed Drake, 13-10, Saturday. Drake's Shane Dunning provided the first half's only points with a 38-yard field goal. San Diego matched that with Pablo Tager's 53-yard field goal in the third quarter. Then the teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter, San Diego using a 10-yard Mason Randall-to-Michael Gadinis touchdown strike to tie the game, 10-10. Drake and San Diego combined for just 524 offensive yards. Randall completed 19-of-30 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown. Caden Meis had 12 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown to lead Drake.

Davidson 70, Presbyterian 35
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson scored 28 points in the second quarter and another 21 in the third frame to scamper past Presbyterian, 70-35, Saturday. After Presbyterian took an 8-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, Davidson responded with three consecutive scoring drives, including a 64-yard touchdown pass and a 71-yard touchdown run by Louis Colosimo, to take a 28-10 lead. The Wildcats opened the third quarter by scoring on another three consecutive drives, Colomiso passing for two more scores, to build a 56-22 lead it would not relinquish. Colomiso completed 8-of-10 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 95 yards on three carries. Davidson scored six touchdowns as part of its 42-carry, 351-yard rushing performance. Ren Hefley completed 32-of-56 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns to pace Presbyterian.
