Columbia 37, Marist 14
NEW YORK CITY – Marist used two big plays to gain an early 14-0 lead but could not hold on in a 37-14 loss at Columbia, Saturday. The Red Foxes opened the game with Dwayne Mender's 82-yard punt return for a touchdown and seconds later a 42-yard touchdown pass from Austin Day to Scott Scherzer to lead 14-0 less than four minutes into the game. However, Marist would not score again as Columbia closed the game with 37 unanswered points. Day completed 9-of-16 passes for 103 yards to pace a marist offense that finished with 242 offensive yards.

Dartmouth 28, Valparaiso 18
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Valparaiso closed within three points late in the third quarter but could not regain the lead in a 28-18 loss to Dartmouth, Saturday. After recording its second safety of the game in the third quarter, Valparaiso got a touchdown from Teryn Berry to Ollie Reese followed by a two-point conversion to get within 21-18 with 1:16 left in the third. However, they couldn't close the gap with Dartmouth scoring the game's final touchdown. The Beacons first safety was the game's first points and was followed by a 29-yard field goal by Brian Bartholomew 29-yard field goal to take an early 5-0 lead. Running back Robert Washington had 24 carries for 117 yards to pace Valparaiso's offense.

Austin Peay 59, Morehead State 35
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – After matching touchdowns in the first quarter, Morehead State could not keep pace with Austin Peay's 20-point second quarter in a 59-35 loss, Saturday. Issah Aguero got the Eagles within two points, 8-6, with his one-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter. But a 32-yard interception return by Austin Peay turned the tide and led to a 20-point second quarter with a second interception halting a potential scoring drive, leaving Morehead State trailing 28-6 at halftime. Quarterback Mark Pappas completed 21-of-51 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown to lead Morehead State.

Montana State 52, San Diego 10
BOZEMAN, Mont. – San Diego had few answers as nationally-ranked Montana State amassed 540 offensive yards to down the Toreros, 52-10, Saturday. Montana State scored the game's first 45 points in the opening 38 minutes. San Diego broke up the shutout bid with 3:09 left in the third when Judd Erickson hit Michael Gadinis for a 19-yard touchdown. Erickson went 5-of-9 for 85 yards and the touchdown to pace the Toreros.

Northern Iowa 44, St. Thomas 3
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Louis Hyde's 35-yard field goal late in the first half was St. Thomas' only points in a 44-3 loss at nationally-ranked Northern Iowa, Saturday. Northern Iowa scored the game's first 17 points, including one of Matthew Cook's three field goals, as the Panthers led 17-3 at halftime. Cook would hit a pair of field goals in the third quarter and Northern Iowa tacked on 21 fourth-quarter points in the win. The Tommies were held to 95 offensive yards by Northern Iowa.

North Dakota 38, Drake 0
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Nationally-ranked North Dakota held Drake to 163 offensive yards in a 38-0 victory, Saturday. In a game that featured nine turnovers, Drake forced host North Dakota into five giveaways but could not convert the turnovers into points. Running back Cross Robinson finished with 11 carries for 39 yards for Drake.

Campbell 72, Presbyterian 0
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Presbyterian could not overcome a 10-turnover outing in a 72-0 loss at Campbell, Saturday. Presbyterian quarterback Ren Hefley completed 20-of-39 passes for 146 yards but had six interceptions and two fumbles lost. Campbell quarterback Wiley Hartley went 22-of-30 for 342 yards passing with six touchdowns.

Southern Illinois 55, Dayton 3
CARBONDALE, Ill. – Nationally-ranked Southern Illinois scored the game's first 48 points en route to a 55-3 victory against Dayton, Saturday. The Salukis held Dayton to 218 offensive yards with Sam Webster breaking up the shutout bid with his 28-yard field goal late in the third quarter. Dayton quarterback Jack Cook went 14-of-24 passing for 131 yards.

Butler 77, Taylor 24
UPLAND, Ind. – Butler used a 35-point second quarter and 602 offensive yards to upend Taylor, 77-24, Saturday. The Bulldogs set a program record with 77 points, scoring on 11 of its 16 possessions. Quarterback Bret Bushka completed 15-of-20 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Nick Orlando ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns and Kavon Samuels also ran for two scores in the victory.
