STETSON 30, BUTLER 27
DeLAND, Fla. – Jonny Messina kicked a 27-yard field goal at the final gun, helping Stetson defeat Butler for the first time in program history, 30-27, Saturday at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium. Butler took a 27-20 lead with 5:53 left in the game when Sam Brown found Johnny O'Shea on a six-yard touchdown pass. However, Stetson's Gaven DeFilippo piloted the Hatters down the field, hitting Justin Jordan with a 21-yard touchdown pass to complete an 8-play, 63-yard drive. The Hatters defense then forced a three-and-out and the ensuing punt went out of bounds at the Stetson 38-yard line. Running back Jalen Leary carried the ball five times for 55 yards on the Hatters final drive, setting up Messina's winning field goal. Leary finished with 111 yards on 20 carries while Jareem Westcott added 159 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Butler's Nick Orlando finished with 99 rushing yards, including a 62-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. 

DAYTON 56, JACKSONVILLE 28
DAYTON, Ohio – Jack Cook threw a program record six touchdown passes as Dayton stormed past Jacksonville, 56-28, Saturday at Welcome Stadium. Four of Cook's touchdown strikes were caught by Adam Trautman – three in a pivotal 28-point second quarter by the Flyers.  Cook finished the day completing 13-of-16 passes for 198 yards and six touchdowns while Trautman caught six passes for 107 yards. Meanwhile, quarterback Calvin Turner Jr. ran for all four of Jacksonville's touchdowns as part of his 22-carry, 169-yard rushing performance. 

DAVIDSON 42, MOREHEAD STATE 31
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Wesley Dugger ran for four touchdowns and Davidson held off a fourth-quarter Morehead State rally in a 42-31 victory, Saturday, at Jayne Stadium. Dugger opened the game's scoring with touchdown runs of three and 47 yards in the first quarter. He added a one-yard run that proved to be the game-winnign score, capping Davidson's 21-point second quarter that pushed its advantage to 35-7 at halftime.  Davidson piled up 335 rushing yards and 525 offensive yards in the win. Morehead State scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to narrow the final deficit, backup quarterback DeAndrew Clayton throwing a pair of touchdown passes. 

DRAKE 35, VALPARAISO 6
DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake improved to 2-0 in PFL play thanks to a defensive effort that limited Valparaiso to 131 offensive yards for a 35-6 victory, Saturday, at Drake Stadium. Ian Corwin connected on 13-of-20 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns while Drew Lauer ran for two touchdowns and 77 yards in the win. Kicker Dimitrios Latsonas hit field goals of 41 and 46 yards for the Crusaders lone scores.

SAN DIEGO 31, MARIST 7
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego won its 30th consecutive PFL game, 31-7, against Marist thanks to a defensive effort that picked off four passes and held the Red Foxes to 39 rushing yards. Toreros quarterback Reid Sinnett threw for three touchdowns in the first half and finished the day completing 19-of-29 passes for 341 yards. David Tolbert collected one of San Diego's four interceptions and returned it 46 yards for a touchdown to end the day's scoring. Marist quarterback Austin Day completed 19-of-34 passes for 192 yards.
