Stetson 31, Brown 21
PROIVDENCE, R.I. – Stetson scored the game's final 17 points to down Brown, 31-21, in nonconference action at Brown Stadium.

After allowing 21 points in the opening 11 minutes, the Hatters stiffened and held the Bears scoreless for the final 49-plus minutes. Stetson tied the game 21-21 when Cole Mazza scored a 25-yard touchdown with 11 minutes left in the second half. The Hatters took the lead on Grant Amick's 29-yard field goal in the third quarter and secured the win when Gaven DeFilippo hit Donald Parham for a nine-yard fourth-quarter touchdown.

DeFilippo completed 20-of-29 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown and led the Hatters ground game with 85 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Marist 30, Butler 21
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Quarterback Mike White passed for a career-high 393 yards and three touchdowns while leading Marist to 10 fourth-quarter points in a 30-21 PFL victory against Butler at the Butler Bowl.

Marist seemed to gain control of the game with a 20-point second quarter to take a 20-14 halftime lead. Kicker Mike Maccarone hit field goals from 42 and 48 yards during the second frame while White found Juston Christian and Anthony Olivencia for touchdowns.

Butler regained the lead late in the third quarter when Sam Schrader capped a four-play, 80-yard drive with a one-yard run for a 21-20 lead. Quarterback Will Marty passed for 85 yards on the drives, finging Danny Cotter for a 25-yard completion and Cord Collier for a 60-yard completion to set up Schrader's burst.

The Red Foxes gained the lead for a final time, 23-21, on Maccarone's 45-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. White would add a 37-yard touchdown pass to Juston Christian to seal the victory.

White completed 25-of-47 passes for 393 yards, finding Christian eight times for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Marty nearly matched his counterpart with a 23-for-42 passing effort for 314 yards and two touchdowns, finding receiver Pace Temple seven times for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Dayton 51, Morehead State 27
DAYTON, Ohio – Tucker Yinger and Jared Ruffing combined for 379 yards and four touchdowns on the ground as Dayton downed Morehead State, 51-27, in PFL action at Welcome Stadium.

Yinger's 193 yards on 23 carries ended the day as the league's second-best rushing performance, his lone touchdown was a 57-yard dash that put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter. Ruffing added 186 yards (third-most in the league) and three touchdowns. The Flyers run game amasased 461 yards and five touchdowns as quarterback Alex Jeske chipped in 83 yards and a touchdown.

Morehead State quarterback Austin Gahafer threw for four touchdown passes as part of a 22-for-47 passing performance. His 418 passing yards were the most in the league this season as he found Darius Pritchett seven times for 185 yards and two touchdowns. However, Gahafer's performance was for naught as none of his touchdown throws got the Eagles closer than 10 points during the contest.

Flyers kicker William Will connected three field goals, finishing the game with a PFL record-tying 49 career field goals – equalling the mark set by Drake alumnus Billy Cundiff. It was part of a 15-point effort for Will, who connected on all three of his field goals, from 20, 38 and 49 yards, and all six of his PATs.

Drake 35, Valparaiso 21
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Running back Conley Wilkins became the first PFL runner to rush for 200 yards in 2016, leading Drake to a 35-21 PFL victory against Valparaiso at Brown Field.

It was a busy day for Wilkins as he carried the ball 37 tiimes for 205 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Zach Zlabis that put Drake ahead 14-0 in the second quarter, giving Drake a lead it would not relinquish.

After surrendering the game's first 14 points, Valparaiso would match Drake score for score the rest of the game, but could not tie the game. The Crusaders had an opportunity to tie the game early in the third quarter, but could not convert on 4th-and-1 at the Drake 32 yard line as quarterback Jimmy Seewald was stopped for a loss.

Drake sealed the win six minutes later when Jabari Butler intercepted a Seewald pass. Eight plays later, Wilkins scored his lone rushing touchdown from eight-yards out.

Drake quarterback Grant Kraemer added three touchdowns on 236 yards passing while completing 17-of-31 passes. Seewald paced the Crusaders offense with a 15-of-27 passing effort for 113 yards and a touchdown.

San Diego 52, Davidson 3
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Running back Jonah Hodges scoreda school-record four first-half touchdowns as San Diego downed Davidson, 52-3, in PFL action at Torero Stadium.

Hodges scored four consecutive touchdowns in a 15-minute span from midway in the first quarter to midway from the second quarter. He scored from 2, 6, 68 and 2 yards as San Diego sprinted out to a 42-0 halftime lead. His 176 rushing yards on 11 carries paced a San Diego offensive effort that amassed 640 offensive yards.

Davidson broke up the shutout bid with 11:17 left in the contest when Trevor Smith connected on a 35-yard field goal. Quarterback Taylor Mitchell completed 8-of-20 passes for 143 yards to lead Davidson.

Campbell at Jacksonville, canceled
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Pioneer Football League contest between Campbell and Jacksonville at D.B. Milne Field was canceled, Saturday. The game could not be rescheduled following damage in the Jacksonville area following the passage of Hurricane Matthew.
