Butler defeated Valparaiso, 42-21

INDIANAPOLIS – Matt Shiltz threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more to lead Butler past Valparaiso, 42-21, in Saturday PFL action at the Butler Bowl. Shiltz scored the game's first touchdown with his feet, scampering in from 12 yards out midway through the first quarter. He put Butler ahead by two touchdowns with his 13-yard touchdown pass to Pace Temple four minutes later. Ryan Clarke kept Valparaiso in the game with two touchdowns in the first half, one passing and another running. But Shiltz added his fourth touchdown midway through the third quarter and Isaak Newhouse's 14-yard interception return for a touchdown sealed the victory. Shiltz completed 19-of-30 passes for 187 yards and ran for 25 yards. Clarke completed 14-of-25 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown while running for 23 yards.

Jacksonville defeated Davidson, 42-14

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville scored the game's first 21 points in a 42-12 PFL victory against Davidson, Saturday. Starting quarterback Kade Bell threw two touchdowns in a two-minute span for an early 14-0 lead. Backup Rylan Wells stepped in and threw four touchdowns as part of an 18-for-24, 318-yard passing performance. Wide receivers Andy Jones and Damien Strange each caught two touchdown passes. Davidson was held to 201 total yards, quarterback Taylor Mitchell completing 15-of-32 passes for 161 yards, including a touchdown.

Marist defeated Stetson, 49-14

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Michael White threw for three touchdowns and rushed for two more as Marist won its fourth-straight outing with a 49-14 PF victory against Stetson, Saturday. White's two rushing touchdowns came in the first quarter and gave Marist a 14-7 lead. He added a passing touchdown in the frame for a 21-7 lead and Marist never looked back. Lawrence Dickens helped seal the win with his 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a 35-14 advantage after three quarters. White completed 13-of-18 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns, adding 50 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Stetson's Ryan Tentler completed 11-of-25 passes for 192 yards and had a 10-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter.

Dayton defeated Morehead State, 20-15

MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the sixth time this season Dayton rallied from a halftime deficit escaping with a 20-15 PFL victory at Morehead State, Saturday. Morehead State jumped out to a 9-0 lead and led 15-7 after the first quarter, scoring on an Austin Gahafer toss to to Tanner Napier and Brent Holman's 32-yard run. However, the Eagles would not score over the final 47:18. Dayton trimmed the deficit with Alex Jeske's four-yard touchdown pass to Alex Kenner but still trailed 15-14 at halftime. The Flyers would not take the lead until 7:09 left in the game when Jack Adams scampered into the end zone from two yards out. Dayton's balanced offensive attack – 186 passing yards and 180 rushing yards – was sparked by Jeske's 19-of-28, 186-rushing performance. Morehead State's Austin Gahafer completed 27-of-46 passes for 323 yards but could not overcome a three-interception outing.

San Diego defeated Campbell, 31-27

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Dallas Keesman's three-yard run with five minutes remaining in the third quarter proved just enough as San Diego held on for a 31-24 PFL victory against Campbell, Saturday. Keesman scored on San Diego's firs tdrive of the third quarter and the Toeros had to fend off three Campbell drives down the stretch. Campbell scored a field goal to answer the go-ahead touchdown, but then punted and saw USD's Jamal Agnew intercept a pass on the San Diego two-yard line to save the game. Kessman had just 30 yards on nine carries, but had two touchdown bursts. The Toreros won with a balanced offensive effort – 148 passing yards, 184 rushing yards. Campbell's Kameron Bryant completed 20-of-36 passes for 306 yards and a touchdown.
