Marist defeated Butler, 35-14

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist won its third straight contest, scoring the game's first 21 points in a 35-14 PFL victory against Butler, Saturday, at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes struck early in the second quarter when Michael White found Juston Christian for a 60-yard touchdown pass. Marcellus Caluhous would run for two touchdowns, including a score early in the fourth quarter to answer Butler's first touchdown. Christian led Marist with five receptions for 171 yards and two touchdowns, that was the top receiving performance in the PFL (by yardage this season) until later in the day. Butler quarterback matt Shiltz completed 23-of-50 passes for 263 yards and ran for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Morehead State defeated Drake, 38-35 in 3OT

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State's Shavi Bash kicked a 23-yard field goal to lead Morehead State past Drake, 38-35, in a triple overtime PFL victory, Saturday, at Jayne Stadium. The win may have been costly for the Eagles as starting quarterback Austin Gahafer left the game due to an injury midway through the fourth quarter. Jack Sherry replaced Gahafer and threw for 95 yards and two touchdowns, including one in the second overtime. Neither team led by more than a touchdown at any point in the contest but Drake needed a touchdown pass from Andy Rice to Keegan Gallery with 38 seconds left to force overtime. Drake's Conley Wilkins ran for 205 yards – only the second PFL rusher to hit the 200-yard mark this season – on 31 carries and a touchdown. Morehead State receiver Justin Cornwall caught three touchdown passes as part of a 10-reception, 134-yard outing.

San Diego defeated Stetson, 47-16

DeLAND, Fla. – Anthony Lawrence threw for a PFL season-high 453 yards to pace San Diego in a 47-16 PFL victory against Stetson, Saturday, at Spec Martin Stadium. Lawrence completed 20-of-28 passes for 453 yards and all three of his touchdown passes came in a 21-0 run that broke the game open in the second quarter. Brian Riley was Lawrence's favorite target, ending the day with six receptions for a PFL season-high 177 yards, topping the mark set earlier in the day by Marist's Juston Christian, and a touchdown. Stetson quarterback Ryan Tentler ran for 105 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries while completing 13-of-26 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. .

Dayton defeated Jacksonville, 31-14

DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton led 24-0 at halftime and did not look back in a 31-14 PFL victory against Jacksonville, Saturday at Welcome Stadium. The Flyers remained unbeaten overall (8-0) and in league action (5-0) with the win. Flyers quarterback Alex Jeske completed 20-of-23 passes for 180 yards, passing for one touchdown and running for another. Jacksonville quarterback Rylan Wells came off the bench late in the third quarter and completed 11-of-18 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Dayton's defense held Jacksonville to a season-low 36 rushing yards and did not surrender a rushing touchdown.

Campbell defeated Davidson, 39-9

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Campbell scored the game's first 17 points and final 22 points for a 39-9 PFL victory against Davidson, Saturday, at Richardson Stadium. Campbell's De'Shawn Jones became the third PFL running back to rush for 200 yards this season, scoring three touchdowns on 19 carries for 201 yards. He had two touchdown runs of 50-plus yards, a 51-yarder that put the Camels ahead 14-0 in the second quarter and a 59-yarder for a 24-9 lead in the third quarter. Davidson quaterback Taylor Mitchell completed 18-of-36 passes for 160 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown pass to William Morris in the third quarter.
