Meitz threw six touchdowns, one shy of the PFL single-game record, and helped Stetson push Davidson into double overtime before falling 56-48, Saturday. He completed 21-of-40 passes for 379 yards and was responsible for all six Hatters' touchdowns. Trailing by seven points with 2:28 left, Meitz completed passes of 40 and 30 yards, the latter providing the game-tying touchdown. In the first overtime, his 22-yard touchdown pass to Quinton Lane, who finished with three touchdown receptions, gave Stetson the first score of the extra period. His 379 passing yards are the second most in the PFL this season, and he holds the top passing mark in the league. Meitz’ six touchdown passes went for 32, 3, 79, 55, 30, and 22 yards.

Wurtz set the tone with a 79-yard scoop-and-score for the game’s first touchdown in St. Thomas’ 34-7 PFL victory, Saturday. Following a Valparaiso interception and return inside the Tommies’ 20-yard line, the defense forced a fumble and Wurtz picked up the loose ball and scampered 79 yards for the game-opening touchdown. Wurtz also had five tackles (three solo), second most among St. Thomas defenders.

Zurak’s 56-yard field goal as time expired lifted Butler to a 26-23 PFL victory at San Diego, Saturday. The 56-yarder is the third longest in the FCS this season and longest in the PFL. Zurak finished the day making 4-of-5, connected from 32, 21, 44, and 56 yards and missing a 45-yarder in the middle of the sequence. He also connected on two PATs and was responsible for 14 of the Bulldogs 26 points in a win that kept them alive in the bid to win the league’s automatic bid.
