OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Orlando, Butler
Junior, Quarterback St. Charles, Illinois In only eight plays of action, Orlando was responsible for three touchdowns in Butler’s 77-24 victory at Taylor, Saturday. He had 105 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and added 44 yards and a touchdown through the air. He connected with Austin Shwantz for a 43-yard touchdown that was Butler’s first of the game. After a four-yard second-quarter touchdown run, Orlando broke off a 57-yard touchdown dash with five minutes remaining in the game. Five of his eight plays in the game resulted in a first down or touchdown.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Cagnetto, Drake
Junior, Safety Denton, Texas Cagnetto forced a pair of turnovers deep in Drake territory to help limit nationally-ranked North Dakota’s offense in a 38-0 loss, Saturday. Late in the first half, he forced a fumble at the Drake one-yard line resulting in a Drake recovery to stifle a potential scoring drive. Then at the start of the fourth quarter Cagnetto intercepted a pass at the Drake one-yard line and returned it 28 yards, allowing Drake to flip the field on its ensuing drive. He finished the game with four tackles (three solo).

Dwayne Menders, Marist Andrew Foster, Morehead State
Dwayne Menders Jr., Marist Junior (RS), Return Specialist Miramar, Florida Mender returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown in Marist’s loss at Columbia, Saturday. The 82-yard return was the second longest in the FCS this season and resulted in the game’s first touchdown. He later added a 25-yard kickoff return later in the game, finishing with 107 kick return yards on two attempts. It was Marist’s first punt return for a touchdown since 2014.
Andrew Foster, Morehead State Graduate Student, Kicker/Punter Knoxville, Tennessee Foster averaged 47.9 yards on his seven punts in Morehead State’s loss at nationally-ranked Austin Peay, Saturday. Three of his seven punts went for 50-plus yards, including a 62-yarder on his second punt of the day. Foster also connected on a 35-yard field goal and was 2-of-2 on PATs.
