INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -Bret Buska passed for three touchdowns and ran for another but it was Butler's defense that headlined the day, handing Dayton its first shutout since 1976 in a 31-0 PFL decision, Saturday, at Sellick Stadium. Bushka connected with Cameron Heald for touchdowns on each side of the halftime break. Their one-yard touchdown connection with 8:31 left in the first half put Drake ahead 10-0. On the other side of the break, the Bushka and Heald connected on a 17-yard touchdown. Bushka rushed for a third touchdown just as the third quarter ended for a 24-0 lead. Butler held Dayton to a pair of field goal attempts in the first half, the Flyers missing from 44 and 34 yards. Dayton threatened to score twice late in the fourth quarter but Kody Leach intercepted a pass in the end zone and Steven Williams forced a fumble on fourth down to end both threats. Bushka completed 25-of-29 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns and added a touchdown as part of a 10-carry, 41-yard ground performance. Dante Casciola completed 15-of-24 passes for 178 yards to pace Dayton.

Valparaiso 41, Presbyterian 21
CLINTON, S.C. - Trailing 21-14 at halftime, Valparaiso scored 20 second-half points and held Presbyterian off the scoreboard to secure a 41-21 PFL victory, Saturday, at Bailey Memorial Stadium. Tyler Wesley scored two rushing touchdowns in the final 7:34 of the first half to give Presbyterian the 21-14 halftime advantage. Valparaiso leveled the game after a Colin Graves interception deep in Presbyterian territory. Two plays and 35 yards later Mikey Appel found Solomon Davis for a 30-yard touchdown. The Beacons took the lead on their next drive - a 13-play, 96-yard march that Mason Kaplan finished with a nine-yard touchdown pass to Matt Ross. Jahni Clarke and Aaron Dawson would add rushing touchdowns to extend the lead in the fourth quarter. Dawson rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries to pace Valparaiso. Tyler Wesley completed 11-of-17 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown and rushed for two touchdowns on 16 carries totaling 51 yards for Presbyterian.

St. Thomas 27, Davidson 16
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Cade Sexauer's three touchdown passes put St. Thomas up 21-0 with 2:49 left in the first half and the host Tommies held on for a 27-16 PFL victory against Davidson, Saturday, at O'Shaughnessy Stadium. Sexauer found A. McElroy twice in the opening outburst, first from 23 yards out and then for a 19-yard strike that put St. Thomas ahead 21-0. Davidson would get on the board just in front of the halftime break thanks to Caden Bonoffski's 40-yard field goal. Coy Williams narrowed the deficit to 21-10 with a 25-yard touchdown run. But St. Thomas responded on its next drive, the 11-play, 73-yard drive consuming 5:58 off the clock, and Joshua Komis extended the lead back to 27-10 with his two-yard touchdown run. Davidson outgained St. Thomas, 328-251, with Williams' 74-yard rushing performance pacing a 235-yard Wildcats rushing effort. Sexauer completed 11-of-19 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns and added 45 yards on 10 carries.

Marist 45, Stetson 31
DeLAND, Fla. - Clayborne Fields scored twice in the final 2:32, leading Marist past Stetson 45-31 in Saturday PFL action at Spec Martin Stadium. The Red Foxes and Hatters combined for five touchdowns in a wild fourth quarter. Stetson scored the first two touchdowns of the quarter, turning interceptions inside the Marist 30-yard line into short touchdown drives and a 31-24 lead. Marist would tie the game with Amin Woods' 32-yard touchdown run with 4:40 remaining. Fields then took over with an 83-yard punt return for a touchdown that gave Marist the lead with 2:32 left. Fields intercepted a pass on the next Stetson drive and returned it 70 yards for the game-sealing touchdown. Marist's defense intercepted four passes and held Stetson quarterback Brady Meitz to 20-of-38 passing for 179 yards. Fields finished with 160 yards in returns: 80 on punts, 10 on kickoffs, and 70 on interceptions.

San Diego 22, Drake 10 
DES MOINES, Iowa - Hunter Nichols' 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter helped San Diego claim a 22-10 PFL victory against Drake, Saturday, at Drake Stadium. Nichols' 98-yard return came moments after Drake closed within 15-10. The Bulldogs took advantage of a muffed punt to set up a short field and Ian Corwin rushed into the end zone from 14 yards out on the next play from scrimmage. Each team scored just one touchdown on offense with defense and special teams accounting for 18 points on the day. San Diego's Chris Childers opened the scoring with a first-quarter touchdown run and finished with 70 yards on 21 carries. Corwin completed 21-of-52 passes for 239 yards and had a touchdown on 11 carries totaling 29 net yards.
