Dayton 22, Robert Morris 20
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Dayton used a 16-point third quarter to grab the lead then turned away a potential game-tying two-point conversion to edge Robert Morris, 22-20, Saturday at Joe Walton Stadium. Trailing 14-6 at halftime, Dayton scored 16 points in the final 4:32 of the third quarter. Sam Webster connected on a 42-yard field goal to start the rally before Luke Brenner gave Dayton a 15-14 lead with a 66-yard touchdown run. Dante Casciola then extended the lead to 22-14 with a one-yard run. Robert Morris would threaten to tie the game with 5:14 left when Anthony Purge scored a one-yard touchdown, but the ensuing two-point conversion pass fell incomplete. The win was Dayton head coach Rick Chamberlin's 100th career victory. Casciola completed 10-of-19 passes for 87 yards and ran for another 96 yards while scoring a touchdown.

Georgetown 43, Marist 12
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist struck first but Georgetown scored 20 points in the second quarter to secure a 43-12 victory, Saturday, at Tenney Stadium. Luke Paladino's 26-yard field goal was the game's only points in the first quarter, giving the Red Foxes a 3-0 lead. But Georgetown struck for 20 unanswered points to build a 20-3 lead. Paladino hit a 45-yard field goal as time expeired in the half to narrow the deficit, but Marist could get no closer. Quarterback Brock Bagozzi would find Brandon Lombana for a 43-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to close Marist's scoring. Bagozzi completed 15-of-27 passes for 154 yards to pace the Marist offense.

Butler 31, St. Thomas (Fla.) 26
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –  Trailing by 10 points late in the third quarter, Butler scored 21 points in under 10 minutes to take the lead en route to a 31-26 victory against St. Thomas (Fla.), Saturday, at the Sellick Bowl. Bret Bushka threw for all three touchdowns in the pivotal 10-minute stretch as he found Tyler Adams on a 63-yard touchdown strike, Cameron Heald from three yards out, and Tyler Adams for an eight-yard TD score as Butler charged to a 31-20 lead it would not relinquish. Bushka completed 25-of-35 passes for 309 yards and four touchdowns and added 60 yards on the ground.

Jacksonville State 35, Davidson 17
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Davidson scored a game-tying touchdown with two minutes left in the first quarter but FBS foe Jacksonville State struck for 21 points to open the second quarter and claimed a 35-17 victory, Saturday, at Burgess-Snow Field. Following Jacksonville State's touchdown to take a 7-0 lead, Davidson pieced together an impressive 13-play, 75-yard drive that took 8:30 off the clock. Jayden Waddell closed the drive with a 25-yard touchdown pass to Mark McCurdy to tie the game, 7-7. Jacksonville State quarterback Zion Webb broke the game open with two rushing touchdowns and a touchdown pass to open the second quarter for a 28-7 lead. Davidson rolled up 233 rushing yards in the game with McCurdy;s 76-yard outing leading the way. 

North Dakota State 56, Drake 14
FARGO, N.D. – Ian Corwin found Dorian Boyland for a game-opening touchdown but NO. 1 North Dakota State scored the game's next six touchdowns to claim a 56-14 victory, Saturday, at the Fargodome. Corwin completed 8-of-16 passes for 67 yards and tacked on a second touchdown throw to Tim Nesslage in the third quarter. But by the time of that late touchdown throw, North Dakota State had built a 42-7 lead and did not look back.

 

Stetson 24, Concordia (Mich.) 14
DeLAND, Fla. – Quinton Lane caught a 98-yard touchdown pass from Brady Meitz to give Stetson the lead as the second quarter started and STetson edged past Concordia (Mich.), 25-14, Saturday at Spec Martin Stadium. Lane would later recover a fumble in the end zone for a second touchdown and a 24-7 Stetson lead that proved enough to secure the victory. Meitz completed 26-of-38 passes for 350 yards to pace the Hatters offense.

Austin Peay 63, Presbyterian 0
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Nate Hayden threw for 130 yards on 9-of-21 passing but Presbyterian could not break through on the scoreboard in a 63-0 loss to Austin Peay, Saturday, at Fortera Stadium. Austin Peay scored on each of its first six possessions to take a 42-0 halftime lead. The Blue Hose had an opportunity to break up the shutout bid in the fourth quarter when Hayden connected with Dominic Kibby fora  50-yard pass play but the Presbyterian drive ended at the Austin Peay 14-yard line with a turnover on downs, securing the final score.

Valparaiso 20, Indiana Wesleyan 17
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Brian Bartholomew connected on a 50-yard field goal with 1:36 remaining to help Valparaiso secure a 20-17 victory against Indiana Wesleyan, Saturday, at Brown Field. Valparaiso built a 17-3 halftime lead thanks to a 14-point second quarter. Michael Appel Jr. found Solomon Davis for a 58-yard touchdown play to take a 10-3 lead. Mason Kaplan extended the lead to 17-3 with his 20-yard touchdown run. However, Indiana Wesleyan tied the game with 3:50 left before Bartholomew broke the tie with his kick. Aaron Dawson led Valparaiso with 147 rushing yards on 22 carries while Appel completed 13-of-20 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.

San Diego 58, La Verne 0
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Judd Erickson passed for two touchdowns and Isaiah Smith ran for two touchdowns as San Diego rolled past La Verne, 58-0, Saturday at Torero Stadium. San DIego's defense held La Verne to 108 total yards of offense while the Torero offense amassed 492 offensive yards. Erickson led that offensive effort with his 12-of-26 passing performance that accounted for 228 yards.
