INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ben Nimz threw three touchdowns and Robert Washington ran for two more as Valparaiso won the Hoosier Helmet with a 47-3 PFL victory at Butler, Saturday. Butler scored the game's first points on JJ Wadas' 27-yard field goal on the game's opening drive. Nimz led Valparaiso to a touchdown on the ensuing drive, the first of 47 unanswered points. Nimz completed 19-of-24 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another. Washington had 102 rushing yards and two touchdowns on his 14 carries. Butler's Bret Bushka passed for 82 yards and ran for 39 more.

Dayton 38, Davidson 29
DAYTON, Ohio – Jake Chisholm ran for three touchdowns and caught two more as Dayton denied Davidson an opportunity to clinch the PFL title with a 38-29 victory, Saturday. Chisholm caught a 22-yard pass from Jack Cook for the game's first points. He extended Dayton's lead to 17-6 with a 73-yard run midway through the second quarter. Davidson would close the deficit to 17-16 before halftime as Aris Hilliard ran for a 26-yard touchdown and Caden Bonoffski booted a 37-yard field goal. However, on the other side of the break Chisholm would catch a 10-yard touchdown pass and ran for a two-yard score as the Flyers lead bounced back to 31-16. Davidson closed within two points on Louis Colosimo's 49-yard run with 4:08 left but the two-point coversion failed and Dayton recovered the on-side kick. Chisholm tacked on a 32-yard touchdown run to seal the victory. Chisholm amassed 226 yards on 34 carries – Dayton's four other ball carries finished minus-24 yards – and had 46 yards on three receptions. Davidson had four different runners score a touchdown in a 57-carry, 372-yard team rushing performance.

Marist 57, Presbyterian 32
CLINTON, S.C. – Marist scored 20 unanswered points in the second quarter and tacked on another 17 unanswered in the third frame to down Presbyterian, 57-32, Saturday. Presbyterian led 14-13 at the end of the first quarter courtesy Delvecchio Powell's 18-yard run as the quarter expired. After a quiet start to the second quarter, Marist scored 20 points in the final 5:55 with Mekhai Johnson rushing for a 22-yard touchdown and Austin Day passing for touchdowns of 22 and 33 yards to take the lead and extend it to 33-14 at the half. Hunter Cobb and Johnson ran for touchdowns as part of a 17-point third quarter and the Marist lead reached 50-14 and the Red Foxes would not look back. Day completed 15-of-26 passes for 265 yards with touchdown passes to four different receivers to lead Marist. Presbyterian quarterback Ren Hefley completed 36-of-56 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns.

Morehead State 36, Stetson 35
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Mark Pappas capped an 11-play, 93-yard drive with a four-yard pass to BJ Byrd to stun Stetson, 36-35, Saturday. Stetson built a 35-24 lead with 7:04 remaining in the game as Jalen Leary scored from four yards out to begin the second half and from 47 yards out midway through the fourth quarter. Morehead State used a 66-yard kickoff return to spark its comeback bid and five plays later Issiah Aguero dove into the end zone cutting the lead to 35-30. The Eagles defense forced a punt, giving Morehead State the ball with 2:44 left. It took Pappas just only 2:24 to march 93 yards for the game-winning score. Pappas and Byrd connected on four touchdown passes, Pappas ending the day 26-of-54 for 395 yards while Byrd caught 12 passes for 223 yards. Jalen Leary led Stetson with 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

St. Thomas 21, Drake 14
DES MOINES, Iowa – St. Thomas intercepted five passes, blocked a punt and blocked a field goal and ultimately held on for a 21-14 victory at Drake, Saturday. St. Thomas scored its first touchdown following an interception and the blocked field goal led to a touchdown in the third quarter. Hope Adebayo scored twice in the second quarter, rushing for scores from two and eight yards out, before Nick Rice dashed into the end zone from 28 yards out in the third quarter for what proved to be the game-winning score. Caden Meis closed the gap to 21-14 with his six-yard reception from Ian Corwin with 5:26 remaining, but Drake would not get the ball again. Adebayo finished with 105 yards on 21 carries to lead St. Thomas. Corwin completed 17-of-31 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown.
