San Diego 42, Stetson 7
SAN DIEGO – San Diego did not allow Stetson to score an offensive touchdown en route to a 42-7 PFL victory, Saturday, at Torero Staduim and clinched a share of the 2016 PFL Championship. The win also assures the Toreros also will advance to the Division I Football Championship for the second time in program history by claiming the league's automatic bid.

Quarterback Anthony Lawrence got San Diego on the board first with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Justin Priest. Seven minutes later, Stetson's Donald Payne leveled the score with an 84-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

However, that would be Stetson's only score of the contest and Lawrence rallied San Diego to three second-quarter touchdowns. He found Justin Priest from 14 yards out to break the tie then added touchdown tosses to Jonah Hodges and Ross Dwelley to secure the lead.

Lawrence completed 24-of-31 passes for 314 yards and four touchdowns. Dwelley caught nine passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. In addition, Hodges rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in addition to his touchdown catch.

Stetson was held to 79 yards and eight first downs on offense.

Campbell 27, Morehead State 21
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Anthony Robbins connected with Aaron Blockmon on a school-record 90-yard touchdown pass and held on for a 27-21 PFL victory against Morheead State, Saturday, at Jayne Stadium.

Campbell broke a 7-7 halftime tie with two third quarter touchdowns. Robbins hit Jaquan Brooks for a 40-yard touchdown pass to break the tie and Kahlil Dixon added a three-yard touchdown run to build a 20-7 lead after three frames.

Morehead State closed to within a touchdown when Austin Gahafer found Jake Sutherland for a 28-yard touchdown. But two possessions later, Campbell struck with its 90-yard play to secure the lead and the win.

Robbins completed 12-of-22 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns, including the touchdown to Blockmon who finished with 131 receiving yards on five catches. Running back Jared Joyner finished with 127 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.

Gahafer paced Morehead State with a 19-of-38 passing outing for 264 yards and a touchdown. He now has 11,623 carrer passing yards with one game remaining in his career.

Dayton 59, Marist 31
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Alex Jeske was responsible for six touchdowns, including four on the ground, as Dayton flew past Marist, 59-31, in PFL action at Tenney Stadium.

After a Marist field goal opened the scoring, Jeske countered with a five-yard touchdown run on the ensuing Dayton possession. Kicker William Will added a field goal on the next Flyers posession and Jeske closed the quarter with a second five-yard touchdown run for a 17-3 lead.

The teams alternated touchdowns over the next eight scoring drives, Dayton maintaining its 14-point lead through the fourth quarter. Cameron Stubbs ended the touchdown exchange with his 90-yard kickoff return for a score and a 21-point advantage. Jeske tacked on his fourth touchdown dash to cap the day's scoring.

Jeske finished the day with 179 rushing yards on 18 carries while tacking on 198 passing yards while completing 13-of-20 passes and two touchdowns. Dayton amassed a season-best 530 offensive yards in the win.

Marist quarterback Mike White had his own 100-yard rushing day, finishing with 101 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. He also completed 23-of-44 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown.

Drake 28, Butler 14
DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake scored two third-quarter touchdowns and held on for a 28-14 PFL victory against Butler, Saturday, at Drake Stadium.

Quarterback Grant Kraemer helped Drake build a 14-0 lead with touchdown passes to Eric Saubert and Grant Menard. Butler trimmed the deficit to a touchdown at halftime with Malcolm Weaver's one-yard run.

Kraemer rebuilt the two-touchdown advantage with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Grant Menard early in the third quarter. Running back Conley Wilkins chipped in a six-run touchdown run on the next Drake possession for a 28-7 lead with 7:53 left in the third frame.

Kraemer completed 19-of-28 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns, amounting for the bulk of Drake's 293 offensive yards.

Butler outgained Drake with 307 offensive yards. Quarterback Malcolm Weaver passed for 154 yards and ran for another 57 to pace the offense.

Valparaiso 42, Jacksonville 39
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Bailey Gessinger's game-opening 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown jump started Valparaiso to a 42-39 PFL victory against Jacksonville, Saturday, at Brown Field.

Gessinger's return was the first of three straight touchdowns by Valparaiso to start the game. The Crusaders lead reached 28-3 at the end of the quarter after Frank Catrine responded to a Jacksonville field goal with a 72-yard touchdown run.

Jacksonville climbed back into the contest thanks to quarterback Rylan Wells two touchdown runs. The first was a 14-yard dash late in the third quarter and the second was a 16-yard touchdown to start the third quarter, trimming the deficit to 34-24. Valparaiso extended its lead back to 18 points on a Jimmy Seewald touchdown pass.

The Dolphins cut back into that lead with two fourth quarter touchdowns. Will Montgomery scored on a three-yard touchdown run midway through the frame. Wells then got Jacksonville withing a field goal when he found Brian Burnett for a 23-yard touchdown pass. However, Jacksonville would not get the ball back as Valparaiso ran the clock out to secure the win.

Seewald completed 18-of-24 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Valparaiso. Catrine also finished with 114 rushing yards on four carries.

Wells posted his third straight 100-yard rushing performance, finishing with 135 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. He also completed 12-of-28 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown.
