CLEVELAND – Drake University football senior Eric Saubert added another major accolade to his resume as he was named to the Division I Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Associations (FCS ADA) All-America team, Thursday. The third annual award, in coordination with the 13 FCS conference offices, recognizes the top student-athlete from FCS institutions at 11 different positions.
 
Earlier this week, Saubert was named third team STATS FCS All-America. He led all PFL tight ends and also Drake’s receiving corps with 55 receptions for 580 yards and seven touchdowns, earning first team All-PFL honors. He led all FCS tight ends with 5.0 receptions per game. Saubert's 57.5 reception yards per game were tied for second and his seven TD receptions were tied for third among FCS tight ends.
 
From the 11 players named to the FCS ADA All-America Team, a national Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year will be announced at a later date and recognized at the National Championship Game in Frisco, Texas, on Jan. 9, during an on-field presentation.
