Drake remained in the hunt for a share of the PFL title with a 45-20 victory against Butler, Saturday. San Diego also kept pace in the title race with a victory against Morehead State to wrap up its home slate. Davidson won an overtime contest at Valparaiso in interim head coach Brett Hayford's first game at the helm. Jacksonville ended its two-game losing streak with a home victory against Campbell while Dayton closed out its campaign with a road win against Marist.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville scored 24 first-quarter points en route to a 40-14 PFL victory against Campbell, Saturday at D.B. Milne Field. The Dolphins turned to their ground game in the victory, recording 333 yards and five touchdowns on 57 carries. Senior Keith Dawson ran 25 times for 217 yards and two touchdowns, including scoring runs of 21 and three yards. Campbell quarterback Dakota Wolf was responsible for both his team's touchdowns, running for a 31-yard score and completing a 10-yard pass to Jordan Hildreth. He finished the game with 115 total offensive yards, including a team-best 51 yards on 11 carries.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Dayton scored 21 first-half points and held on for a 21-17 PFL victory against Marist, Saturday, at Tenney Stadium. The Flyers secured a 21-7 lead with 11:28 left in the first half when Will Bardo found Ross Smith for a 15-yard touchdown pass and reception. Marist opened the second half with a field goal and touchdown on its first two possessions. However, the Red Foxes turned the ball over on downs at the Dayton 17-yard line on their next possession and saw their last possession foiled by a Dayton interception. It was a turnover-prone contest with the two teams combining for seven turnovers (Dayton 4, Marist 3). Bardo led Dayton with a 14-of-24, 166-yard and two touchdown performance. Marist running back Max Jacques finished with 102 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake scored 28 consecutive points to break open a 14-13 contest and posted a 45-20 PFL victory against Butler, Saturday, at Drake Stadium. Drake quarterback Mike Piatkowski completed 29-of-40 passes for 366 yards and five touchdowns, including all four touchdowns during the 28-point run. He captained an offense that amassed 546 offensive yards. Butler did record 303 offensive yards, but used 228 of those yards on its three touchdown drives. Butler quarterback Matt Lancaster finished the day 19-of-37 passing for 248 yards and two touchdowns.

VALPARAISO, Ind. – Interim head coach Brett Hayford picked up a win in his first game at the helm as Davidson picked up a 28-27 overtime victory against Valparaiso, Saturday, at Brown Field. The game's scoring opened with Davidson using a fake field goal play, wideout Lanny Funsten running the ball for a 17-yard touchdown. Neither team would enjoy more than a touchdown lead the entire game. In overtime, Valpariaso needed just three plays to score, wide receiver Tanner Kuramata catching a four-yard touchdown pass. However, the Crusaders saw their PAT fail to split the uprights. Davidson responded with its own three-play scoring drive, which ended with quarterback Jonathan Carkhuff finding Lanny Funsten for a two-yard touchdown pass and reception. Davidson kicker Robert Schick was able to convert the PAT for the win. Carkhuff ended the day completing 37-of-56 passes for 395 yards and the one touchdown. Valparaiso's Eric Hoffman completed 26-of-39 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown.

MOREHEAD STATE at SAN DIEGO
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Running back Dallas Kessman ran for 190 yards and two touchdowns, including the eventual game-winning score, to lead San Diego past Morehead State, 41-28, in Saturday PFL action at Torero Stadium. Kessman finished the game with 31 carries and his two touchdown runs came in the second half, the first providing the winning points and the second supplying a key insurance score. San Diego's Mason Mills was 26-of-29 throwing on the day, passing for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Morehead State scored in each quarter but could not keep pace despite losing the offensive yardage battle by a narrow 497-410 margin. Eagles quarterback Zach Lewis completed 30-of-45 passes for 316 yards, including 13 passes caught by Donte Sawyer who finished with 152 receiving yards.
