Playing three quarters, Lewis threw for four touchdowns and ran for another to lead morehead state past Southern Virginia, 55-0, in Thursday non-conference action. Lewis led Morehead State to five touchdowns and a field goal on its six first-half drives. He led two scoring drives of 70-plus yards, capping one with a 51-yard touchdown pass to B. Bornhauser. Lewis completed 16-of-22 passes for 249 yards and ran three times for 11 yards. His 260 yards total offense were the bulk of Morehead State’s 499 offensive yards.

Grady recorded a FCS-best 10 solo tackles in Butler’s 23-15 non-conference loss to Western Illinois, Saturday. His 15 total tackles ranked fifth among tacklers for the week  and tied only with teammate Bryce Barry for the top mark in the PFL. Grady also recorded his fourth career interception, helping set up a Butler scoring drive that put it in striking distance with 2:55 remaining in the contest.

Hunter provided one of Dayton’s two touchdowns in its 56-14 non-conference loss to No. 19 Illinois State, Saturday. His 77-yard punt return for a second-quarter touchdown was the longest punt return in the FCS during Week 1. It also was the longest punt return by a Dayton player since the 2005 season. He finished the game with 150 of Dayton’s 275 all-purpose yards. He had the one punt return for 77 yards, two kick returns for 26 yards and one pass reception for 49 yards.
