Down 14-7 at halftime, Valentino rushed for two second-half touchdowns. He capped an 11-play, 73-yard drive with a 15-yard touchdown run to tie the game in the third quarter. Valentino gave Dayton the lead with a one-yard scoring run that capped a nine-play, 61-yard drive. He completed 13-of-33 passes for 185 yards and a first-quarter touchdown. On the ground, he carried the ball 17 times for 107 yards and the two touchdowns. He finished the day with 292 yards of total offense.
