Five PFL athletes were selected to the CollegeSportsMadness.com National FCS Football All-American Teams, the website announced, Tuesday.
San Diego's Blake Oliaro and Butler's Jordan Ridley were each second team honorees. San Diego defensive lineman Mario Kurn, Dayton defensive lineman Devon Langhorst and Drake punter Billy Janssen were each named to the third team.
Oliaro was the PFL's Defensive Player of the Year and a First-Team All-PFL selection. He ranked fourth nationally in sacks per game (1.36 pg) and 10th nationally in tackles for loss per game (1.77 pg).
Ridley was a First-Team All-PFL selection for the second consecutive year. He led the league in tackles for the second consecutive season, his 12.7 tackles per game ranking sixth among all FCS players.
Kurn was a Second-Team All-PFL honoree after finishing the season ranked fourth in sacks (1.1 pg) and sixth in tackles for loss (1.5 pg). Langhorst was named First-Team All-PFL, finishing the 2011 campaign among the league's top five in sacks (2nd, 1.2 pg), tackles for loss (3rd, 1.6 pg) and tackles (5th, 7.1 pg). Janssen led the league in punting, averaging 43.3 yards per punt with 11 of his 50 punts going for more than 50 yards en route to First-Team All-PFL recognition.
