DAVIDSON, N.C. – Quarterback Jonathan Carkhuff passed for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Davidson past Valparaiso, 30-22, in PFL action Saturday at Richardson Stadium. In a game where both quarterback's threw the ball more than 50 times, Carkhuff won the  duel with a 34-of-55, 371-yard performance that included two touchdown throws. He added a one-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter that proved to be the game-winning score. Running back Chase Culbertson added a touchdown later in the quarter to seal the win. Valparaiso quarterback Eric Hoffman completed 33-of-57 passes for 364 yards and two touchdown. The Crusaders intercepted Carkhuff three times in the contest, including Bruce Collins' 74-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter.

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State racked up 669 yards total offense en route to a 55-35 PFL victory against Butler, Saturday at Jayne Stadium. The Eagles scored three touchdowns in both the first and third quarters to run away and hide from the visiting Bulldogs. Morehead State quarterback Zach Lewis completed 31-of-46 passes for 387 yards and three touchdowns and added 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Meanwhile, Eagles running back Desmond Cox carried the ball 27 times for 218 yards and two touchdowns. Butler rolled up a season-high 522 yards – quarterback Andrew Huck completing 20-of-28 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns.

GEORGIA STATE def. CAMPBELL, 42-35 | RECAP: Campbell | STATISTICS
ATLANTA, Ga. – A fourth-quarter charge fell just short as Campbell fell to Georgia State, 42-35, in non-conference action at the Georgia Dome. Trailing 28-14 entering the fourth quarter the Fighting Camels scored three fourth-qarter touchdowns, including quarterback Braden Smith's seven-yard touchdown run with 1:53 remaining, but could not close the gap as Georgia State scored two touchdowns in the frame. Smith completed 21-of-32 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown while adding 10 carries for 44 yards and a touchdown. 

SAN DIEGO vs. JACKSONVILLE, 23-14 | RECAPS: San Diego | Jacksonville | STATISTICS
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Running back Kenny James ran for 261 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns to lead San Diego past Jacksonville, 23-14, in Saturday PFL action at Torero Stadium. The Toreros won a share – with Drake which claimed a piece of the crown last week – of the 2011 PFL Championship with the win – their first title since 2007 and fourth overall. James carried the ball 34 times for 122 yards, made three receptions for 75 yards and added 64 yards on three kickoff returns. However, it was his 62-yard catch and carry from quarterback Mason Mills that provided the game-sealing score with 8:20 remaining in the game. San Diego broke out to a 14-0 lead on touchdown runs by James and Kenslow Smith. Jacksonville cut into the lead when quarterback Josh McGregor found Adrian Riley for a 35-yard touchdown. San Diego's Mike Levine pushed the lead back to two possessions, 17-7, with a 24-yard field goal before halftime. Dolphins running back J.J. Laster slashed the deficit to three points, 17-14, with a one-yard run in the third quarter, but Jacksonville would not get any closer. McGregor finished the game completing 22-of-36 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown.
