March 31 - The Marist football program announced its five captains for the 2009 season on Tuesday. The captains are linebacker Nick Andre (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), linebacker Kevin Foley (Washingtonville, N.Y.), safety Rory Foley (West Roxbury, Mass.), defensive tackle Terrence Turner (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and center Neil Walsh (Wantagh, N.Y.). March 28 - On a balmy 70 degree day Campbell’s football team kept working toward improvement for the 2009 season with their sixth practice of the spring on Saturday, March 28 at Barker-Lane Stadium. The session, which lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes, included the first simulated scrimmage of the spring. The controlled scrimmage started with nickel and third down situations with the offense and the defense going head-to-head. [Complete Story]

March 26 - On March 31, the Morehead State Football Eagles will open 15 days of spring practice that will conclude with a spring game on April 25. The 11-game 2009 schedule has also been announced.
Coach Matt Ballard's Eagles finished the 2008 season with a 6-6 overall record and a 4-4 Pioneer Football League mark. MSU ended the season with wins at Dayton and at home against Campbell… [Complete Story]

March 26 - With Valparaiso set to kick off spring practice on Monday, March 30, head coach Stacy Adams has announced the 2009 football schedule, which will see the Brown and Gold play at Brown Field six times. The Crusaders will open the season at home on September 5 against region foe Saint Joseph’s (Ind.) before heading to Wisconsin to battle Concordia one week later. After a bye week in mid-September, Valpo will close the non-conference slate on September 26 at home against Carthage… [Complete Story]

March 24 - Valparaiso University head football coach Stacy Adams has announced that Robert Lee has joined the Crusader coaching staff as a defensive assistant and special teams coordinator. Lee arrives at Valpo after serving as the defensive line coach at Eastern Michigan University from 2004-2008. With the Eagles, he also served as the community service coordinator… [Complete Story] |

March 18 - On a sunny, beautiful 70 degree day the Campbell’s football program began to prepare
for the 2009 football season with the first practice of the spring on
Wednesday, March 18 at Barker-Lane Stadium. The Camels went through the usual running, passing and
defensive drills for the two hour session. The day meant more though. It was
the first day that the football program and those 75 players practicing could
look at themselves as veterans of the college football game and confidently put

March 16 – The USD football team will begin spring football drills this coming Thursday, March 19th, with their 15 scheduled practice sessions culminating on Saturday, April 25th. Head coach Ron Caragher, who directed the Toreros to a second consecutive 9-2 record this past fall, has approximately 70 student-athletes participating this spring. Practices, all held between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., will take place at the Manchester Athletic Field found behind Cunningham Baseball Stadium. University of Dayton football team is turning an off-season conditioning
workout into an event to benefit a good cause, this Friday, March 6. The Flyers are conducting a lift-a-thon
benefitting the National Breast Cancer Foundation. It will be held during the team’s

March 3 - San Diego head football coach Ron
Caragher is pleased to announce two promotions within his coaching staff,
along with the addition of hiring four new assistant coaches. Third-year
assistant Todd Washington has been elevated from Offensive Line coach to
Offensive Coordinator, and fifth-year assistant Tanner Engstrand has
been elevated to Quarterbacks Coach and will oversee the passing game. New
additions include Keith Carter as Tight Ends coach, Sam Anno as
Linebackers Coach, Ken Stills as Defensive Backs coach, and former
