MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State struck quickly but watched as Dayton scored 30 consecutive points en route to a 30-15 victory, Saturday, at Jayne Stadium. The Eagles scored on their first drive – a five-play, 73-yard push capped by senior halfback Jared Pendleton's 27-yard touchdown dash – but did not score another offensive touchdown. Dayton senior quarterback Steve Valentino completed 13-of-19 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Dayton effort. Morehead State would score the game's final touchdown as junior defensive back J.D. Cecil returned a fumble 90 yards.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sophomore kick David Lang's 37-yard field goal with one second remaining catapulted Butler past San Diego, 25-24, Saturday, at the Butler Bowl. The field goal capped a seven-play, 75-yard scoring drive that used just 41 seconds. San Diego led 17-9 at halftime and extended the lead to 24-15 before Butler scored the game's final 10 points. Butler junior running back Scott Gray carried the ball 16 times for 113 yards and a touchdown. San Diego sophomore running back Matt Jelmini had 22 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville won its seventh-straight PFL contest, posting a 27-21 victory against Davidson, Saturday, at D.B. Milne Field. The Dolphins, with a 27-7 lead after three quarters, had to hang on in the fourth quarter as the Wildcats scored twice and drove to the Jacksonville 31-yard line before turning the ball over on downs with 1:35 remaining. Jacksonville senior running back Rudell Small rushed for a season-best 110 yards on 18 carries, including a touchdown. Davidson junior wideout Mark Hanabury had nine receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist recorded its first PFL victory, Saturday, downing Campbell, 34-13, at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes scored the games final 21 points after the Camels tied the game, 13-13, in the second quarter. Senior running back O'Neill Anderson rushed for a career-high 132 yards on 15 carries, including a touchdown – one of four Marist players to record a touchdown. Campbell junior running back Daniel Polk carried the ball 16 times for 61 yards including both touchdowns.

DES MOINES, Iowa – Freshman quarterback Mike Piatkowski passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as Drake downed Valparaiso, 34-14, Saturday at Drake Stadium. Piatkowski – who was harrassed to the tune of seven sacks – completed 18-of-31 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. He added the eventual game-winning score on a three-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Valparaiso sophomore defensive lineman Nikko Carson finished with eight tackles, including four sacks.
