JOLIET, Ill. – Turnovers on three of its first four second half possession doomed Valparaiso in a 21-0 loss at St. Francis (Ill.), Thursday night. The three second-half turnovers flipped field position against the Crusaders and the Fighting Saints took advantage scoring on consecutive series in the third quarter. A short punt set up a 25-yard scoring drive to push the lead to 13-0 before a fumble on the ensuing kickoff set up a 30-yard scoring push to set the final margin.
