CORNELL 21, MARIST 7
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist saw two drives end deep inside the Cornell territory late in the fourth quarter and dropped a 21-7 decision, Saturday, at Tenney Stadium. In a late battle of field position, Marist saw its penultimate drive reach the Cornell five-yard line with a fresh set of downs, but stall at the one-yard line before a turnover on downs. After the Red Foxes defense forced a three-and-out on the next Cornell posession, Marist set up at the Bears 18-yard line but gained only seven yards and turned the ball over on downs again. Quarterback Luke Strnad completed 16-of-38 passes for 218 yards but the Red Foxes were held to two rushing yards.

DUQUESNE 35, DAYTON 31
DAYTON, Ohio – Jack Cook threw for three touchdowns but Dayton saw a fourth-quarter Duquesne touchdown ruin its home opener, 35-31, Saturday, at Welcome Stadium. In a back-and-forth affair throughout, Dayton gained the upper hand in the second quarter with touchdowns on consecutive drives to take 21-14 lead. However, the Flyers saw a drive end with a field goal early in the fourth quarter, Sam Webster hitting a 32-yard field goal, and Duquesne scored on the next possession for the game's final points. Dayton's final drive ended on downs at the Duquesne 31-yard line to seal the contest. Cook completed 19-of-27 passes for 219 yards, finding three different receivers for touchdowns.

DARTMOUTH 35, JACKSONVILLE 7
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Calvin Turner Jr. finished with 193 offensive yards and threw a fourth quarter touchdown as Jacksonville fell to Dartmouth, 35-7, Saturday at D.B. Milne Field. Turner threw a five-yard pass to Craige Sexton with 13:08 remaining in the game to break up Dartmouth's shutout bid. Turner completed 7-of-11 passes for 106 yards and ran for 87 yards on 18 carries.

SAN DIEGO 31, HARVARD 23
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego scored the game's first 24 points then held on to down Harvard, 31-23, Saturday at Torero Stadium. Reid Sinnett completed 23-of-30 passes for 384 yards and opened the game with a 65-yard touchdown strike to Michael Bandy on the first play from scrimmage. He would later add a 57-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Kincaid and an 18-yard scoring throw to Alex Spadone as San Diego broke out to a 24-0 halftime lead. Harvard would battle back in the second half, scoring 17 points in the fourth quarter. However, San Diego would snuff out a potential game-winning drive when Daniel Tolbert intercepted a pass with 55 seconds left.

TRUMAN STATE 38, VALPARAISO 7
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Jimmy Seewald connected with Trey Stablein for a 15-yard fourth-quarter touchdown but Valparaiso fell to Truman State 38-7, Saturday at Stokes Stadium. Truman State used a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown and two pick-sixes to break the game open before Seewald ended the shutout bid midway through the fourth quarter. Seewald was one of four passers used by the Crusaders, ending the day 6-for-12 passing for 76 yards.

PRINCETON 49, BUTLER 7
PRINCETON, N.J. – Nick Orlando scampered into the end zone from four yards out in the fourth quarter as Butler fell to Princeton, 49-7, Saturday at Princeton Stadium. Orlando, the second quarterback on the field for the Bulldogs, completed 4-of-8 passes for 41 yards and ran for 70 yards on 11 carries, including the touchdown that broke up Princeton's shutout bid.

STETSON 59, WESTERN NEW ENGLAND 28
DeLAND, Fla. – Gaven DeFilippo completed 27-of-35 passes for 300 yards and five touchdowns as Stetson stormed past Western New England, 59-28, Saturday, at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium. Western New England scored the game's first touchdown but Stetson responded with 52 of the game's next 59 points, DeFilippo leading the Hatters on nine scoring drdives that each took less than three minutes to complete.

CAMPBELL 31, DAVIDSON 29
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Davidson scored twice in the final three minutes to take a one-point lead but a late 50-yard field goal spoiled their upset bid in a 31-29 loss to Campbell, Saturday, at Barker-Lane Stadium. Trailing 28-14 with 5:17 remaining in the game, Davidson used an 8-play, 72-yard touchdown drive then a defensive three-and-out and finally a 3-play, 84-yard touchdown drive and two-point coversion to take a 29-28 lead with 23 seconds left. However, a 32-yard kickoff left Campbell with an opportunity and two completions later Colin Gray hit a 50-yard field goal with six seconds left to grab the win. Davidson amassed 413 rushing yards in the contest, Jorell Story (127 yards) and Wesley Dugger (108) each running for more than 100 yards.

MURRAY STATE 49, MOREHEAD STATE 7
MURRAY, Ky. – Issiah Aguero ran for 96 yards and a third quarter touchdown but Morehead State dropped a 49-7 contest to to in-state foe Murray State, Saturday, at Stewart Stadium. Quarterback Mark Pappas completed 16-of-33 passes for 171 yards but the Eagles were undone by five turnovers in the contest.
