Duquesne 23, Valparaiso 21
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Valparaiso scored early in the fourth quarter to take a four-point lead but could not hod on late and lost at Duquesne, 23-21, Saturday at  Arthur Rooney Athletic Field.

The teams entered the second half tied 14-14 with Duquesne scoring the third quarter's lone points on Mitch MacZura's 38-yard field goal with 50 seconds left. Valparaiso would respond on their ensuing drive, as Chris Duncan found Griffin Norberg for a 58-yard touchdown pass for a 21-17 lead. 

Duquesne would be denied a scoring chance on the game's next drive, getting to the Valparaiso 17-yard line before turning the ball over on downs. The Crusaders could not extend the lead on their next drive, punting after five plays, giving Duquesne the ball on their own 26-yard line. The Dukes would use 11 plays to cover the 74 yards, A.J. Hines diving in from one yard out with the game-winning score.

Duncan completed 15-of-26 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown while Kyle Cartales had 14 carries for 61 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Crusaders offense.

Southeast Missouri 40, Dayton 21
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Dayton grabbed a one-point lead as the fourth quarter started, but Southeast Missouri scored the game's final 21 points to claim a 40-21 victory, Saturday, at Houck Stadium.

Trailing by a touchdown entering the fourth quarter, Dayton capped six-play, 73-yard scoring drive with Tucker Yinger's 34-yard touchdown run for a 21-20 lead. But the Redhawks scored on an 18-yard pass play by Daniel Santacaterina to Kristian Wilkerson before a pair of big play touchdowns – a 73-yard touchdown pass to Zack Smith followed one drive later by Terry Marquis' 95-yard touchdown dash to set the final score.

Yinger ended the day with 22 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown to lead Dayton. Jack Cook completed 22-of-45 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown for the Flyers.

Montana 48, Drake 16
MISSOULA, Mont. – Drake hung close through 40 minutes, but a pair of Montana touchdowns in the final minute of the third quarter broke open a close game in a 48-16 Grizzlies win, Saturday, at Washington Grizzly Stadium.

Drake battled through the first half, trailing Montana 10-3 at the break. Both teams would score midway through the third frame. The Bulldogs closing to within a touchdown again on Will Warner's 49-yard touchdown run that made it 17-10 with 4:46 left in the quarter.

However, Montana scored on its ensuing drive when Dalton Sneed found Jerry Louie-McGee for a 13-yard touchdown strike. After the Grizzlies intercepted a pass on the next Drake possession, Sneed hit Samuel Akem for a 10-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 31-10.

Drake quarterback Grant Kraemer completed 23-of-42 passes for 281 yards and a tocuchdown in the loss.

Morehead State 48, Mt. St. Joseph 19
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State scored the game's first 35 points and finished with 519 offensive yards in a 48-19 victory against Mt. St. Joseph, Saturday, at Jayne Stadium.

Quarterback Lawson Page connected with Sugar Ray Wyche Jr. twice in the first quarter to help Morehead State ease out to a 14-0 lead. Three different Eagles runners combined to score touchdowns in the first 10 minutes of the second quarter, breaking the game open.

Page passed for 86 yards and three of his nine completions went for touchdowns while he ran for 146 yards on 10 carries.

Butler 31, Taylor 17
TAYLOR, Ind. – Will Marty threw for a touchdown and ran for another as Butler eased past Taylor, 31-17, Saturday at Turner Stadium.

After the team's traded second-quarter field goals, Butler took control with two touchdowns late in the frame. Brad Sznajder ran the ball in from 16 yards out for a 10-3 lead. Then Marty found Brad Huth for a 12-yard touchdown pass and a 17-3 lead. Marty would later add a nine-yard touchdown run that gave Butler a 31-10 advantage in the third quarter.

Sznajder finished the night with 163 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. Marty was 21-of-31 passing for 181 yards.

Mercer 45, Jacksonville 3
MACON, Ga. –Mercer held Jacksonville scoreless through three quarters in a 45-3 victory, Saturday, at Five Star Stadium.

Mercer held a 7-0 lead after one quarter but scored four times in the second frame to build a 31-0 lead. Jacksonville would break up the shutout bid late in the fourth when Javier Arce-Ramierez hit a 49-yard field goal with 1:30 left.

The Dolphins were held to 222 offensive yards in the loss, Calvin Turner Jr. finishing with 58 yards on 26 offensive plays.

Stetson 63, Waldorf (Iowa) 34
DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson set modern program records with nine touchdowns and 570 offensive yards in a 63-28 victory against Waldor, Saturday, at Spec Martin Stadium.

Quarterback Colin McGovern threw three touchdown passes to Donald Parham in the win and completed 10-of-13 passes for 208 yards. Running back Jareen Westcott added three rushing touchdowns on a 14-carry, 52-yard outing as Stetson scored the game's first three touchdowns and never looked back.

Davidson 49, Chowan 28
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson scored 28 unanswered points midway through the first half and cruised to a 49-28 victory against Chowan, Saturday, at Richardson Stadium.

The Wildcats running game finished with 426 rushing yards on 58 carries. Wesley Dugger leading the way with 153 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries while William Wicks had three touchdown runs as part of his nine-carry, 132-yard outing.

UC Davis 54, San Diego 21
DAVIS, Calif. – San Diego scored three touchdowns in under three minutes in the third quarter, but could not hold on to the lead in a 54-21 loss to UC Davis, Saturday, at Aggie Stadium.

Trailing 20-0 at halftime, San Diego began its come back with a 22-yard touchdown pass from Christian Brooks to Michael Bandy. After forcing a quick three-and-out and moments later, Anthony Lawarence found Dalton Kincaid for a seven-yard touchdown pass. On the ensuing UC Davis drive, the Torero defense hit the UC Davis quarterback and forced a fumble that it recovered. Two plays later , Zach Nelson scampered in from one-yard out to give San Diego a 21-20 lead.

The lead would not last the quarter as UC Davis needed just 65 seconds to retake the lead on its next drive. That score was followed by four fourth quarter scores as the Aggies raced away late.

Lawrence completed 20-of-38 passes for 274 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice.
