MOREHEAD, Ky. – In his first start at quarterback, Lawson Page threw four touchdown passes to lead Morehead State past Kentucky Christian, 56-14, Thursday night at Jayne Stadium. Page completed 21-of-23 passes for 284 yards, tossing two touchdowns in both the second and third quarters as the Eagles raced out to a 49-7 lead. Bringing a 7-0 lead into the second quarter, Morehead State exploded for four touchdowns in the second frame, two through the air and two on the ground to break the game open. Jarin Higginbotham caught four passes for 100 yards and a touchdown while Roberto London carried the ball 19 times for 133 yards and a score.

Campbell 70, Methodist 0
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Daniel Smith and Anthony Robbins each threw two touchdown passes, and Campbell rushers ran for four more scores in Thursday night's season-opening 70-0 victory against Methodist at Barker-Lane Stadium. The Camels scored 35 points in the first quarter alone, Robbins tossing two touchdown strikes, Anthony Robbins and Jaquan Brooks each running for a score and Carlos Merritt landing on a fumble in the end zone. Daniel Smith came off the bench to complete 5-of-7 passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Joshua Jones added 111 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries while Aaron Blockmon caught two passes for 105 yards and a score.

Mercer 48, Jacksonville 7
MACON, Ga. – Rylan Wells found Michon Sanders for a fourth-quarter touchdown but Jacksonville could not solve Mercer in a 48-7 loss, Thursday night at Five-Star Stadium. Wells finished the night with 138 total yards, completing 7-of-9 passes for 74 yards and running for another 64 on the ground. Mercer's Kaelan Riley threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more while compiling 260 total yards in the win.
