INDIANAPOLIS – San Diego's road to Frisco, Texas will begin in a familiar location when it faces Cal Poly in a 7 p.m. (ET), Saturday contest at Alex Spanos Stadium in San Luis Obispo, California.

The PFL Champion Toreros (9-1, 8-0 PFL) will return to the site of their only regular-season blemish, a Week 2 38-16 loss at the hands of the Mustangs (7-4, 5-3 Big Sky), which earned an at-large bid into the 24-team field.

In the regular-season meeting, San Diego was held to a season-low 252 offensive yards – 140 yards below their next lowest total. The Toreros gained 130 of those yards on their two scoring drives in the second quarter, each capped by a Anthony Lawrence pass to Ross Dwelley, as they gained a 13-10 lead with 50 seconds left.

However, Cal Poly struck with six seconds left in the half when Dano Graves hit Kyle Lewis from 57 yards out for a 17-13 halftime lead. Graves would ultimately pass for 130 yards and run for 98 more in the victory.

San Diego will make its second appearances in the Division I Football Championship, the first PFL team to make multiple appearances since the league gained an automatic bid in 2013. The Toreros were the PFL's representative in the 2014 tournament, suffering a 52-14 loss at Montana.
