Georgetown 38, Davidson 14
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Davidson wide receiver Jaris Scott caught five passes for 149 yards and a touchdown but the Wildcats could not solve Georgetown in a 38-14 nonconfernece loss, Saturday, at Cooper Field. Scott's touchdown reception came in the second quarter on a 56-yard catch-and-carry from quarterback Stockton McGuire. McGuire completed 9-of-15 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the contest.

Indiana State 41, Butler 25
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A four-turnover night was too much for Butler to overcome in a 41-25 nonconference loss to Indiana State, Saturday, at Memorial Stadium. All four Butler touchdowns came via the ground game with Anthony Scaccia scoring twice on six carries for 77 yards. Butler actually outgained the Sycamores on the ground by a 145-124 margin. Bulldogs quarterback Malcolm Weaver completed 18-of-30 passes for 202 yards but did not complete a pass for a touchdown.

James Madison 80, Morehead State 7
HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison scored the game's first 49 points and defeated Morehead State 80-7, Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium. Eagles running back Trevor Jones broke up the shutout bid with his one-yard touchdown plunge late in the second quarter. Quarterback Austin Gahafer completed 15-of-27 passes for 125 yards but was intercepted twice as the Dukes forced five turnovers in the contest.

Bucknell 26, Marist 10
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist scored the game's first points but a six-turnover outing thwarted the Red Foxes in a 26-10 loss to Bucknell, Saturday at Tenney Stadium. Marist kicker Mike Maccarone's 37-yard field goal opened the game's scoring but Bucknell responded with the game's next 20 points. Red Foxes quarterback Mike White ran for a touchdown late in the contest and completed 20-of-36 passes for 251 yards.

Illinois State 50, Valparaiso 13
NORMAL, Ill. – Valparaiso's Kellan Hughes returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown but the Crusaders had few answers for nationally-ranked Illinois State in a 50-13 loss, Saturday, at Hancock Stadium. Kicker Jake Simpson added field goals of 45 and 43 yards to top off the Valparaiso scoring. Quarterback Ryan Clarke completed 10-of-20 passes for 77 yards.

Sacred Heart 18, Stetson 14
DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson jumped out to a 14-6 halftime lead but could not hold on late in an 18-14 loss to Sacred Heart, Saturday, at Spec Martin Stadium. The Hatters led 14-12 through three quarters but the Pioneers scored early in the fourth quarter and hung on for the win. Running back Cole Mazza ran for a two-yard touchdown to put the Hatters ahead and Donald Parham caught a 22-yard pass from quarterback Gaven DiFillippo to extend the lead before halftime. DeFillippo completed 22-of-38 passes for 225 yards.

Dayton 31, Central State 19
DAYTON, Ohio – Defending PFL Co-Champion Dayton opened its 2016 campaign with a 31-19 victory against Central State, Saturday, at Welcome Stadium. The Flyers scored the game's first 31 points as quarterback Alex Jeske passed for two touchdowns and ran for another in the game's first three quarters. Jeske finished the game completing 18-of-27 passes for 256 yards and ran for another 23 yards.

Quincy 38, Drake 35
DES MOINES, Iowa – Tight End Eric Saubert caught seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown but Drake dropped its season-opener, 38-35, at Drake Stadium. Drake scored the game's first touchdown as Conley Wilkins dove in from one yard out after the Bulldogs opened the game with an onside kick recovery. But the lead was shortlived as Quincy scored on its next two drives for a 9-7 lead. Saubert opened the second quarter with his touchdown to give Drake the lead again but Quincy countered with the game's next 19 points and never looked back.

Campbell 59, Bluefield 7
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – In a game delayed from its original Thursday date, Campbell scored 59 consecutive points to rout Bluefield, 59-7, Saturday at Barker-Lane Stadium. Running back De'Shawn Jones scored touchdowns on three successive drives, including a 74-yard touchdown burst, in the second quarter. He finished the game with 16 carries for 142 yards and the three touchdowns. The Camels amassed 416 yards and scored six times via its ground game.

San Diego 27, Western New Mexico 0
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Running back Jonah Hodges ran for two touchdowns as defending PFL Co-Champion San Diego started its 2016 campaign with a 27-0 victory against Western New Mexico, Saturday, at Torero Stadium. Hodges ran for touchdowns in the second and fourth quarters as part of a 16-carry, 106-yard performance.
