One week before Jacksonville travels to Dayton, both teams will face stout tests in Week 8… Dayton, which seeks to become the first PFL team to reach 100 conference wins, returns home to face a one-loss Butler squad that still has designs on the league title… Jacksonville begins a two-game road trip at a Drake squad that is unbeaten at home this season… Meanwhile, Stetson travels north for its first-ever meeting at Valparaiso, the Hatters seeking their first road win while the Crusaders seek their first win at Brown Field in 2015… A Marist trip to Davidson will start the day as Marist ends a three-game road trip over four weeks, including two trips to North Carolina… Morehead State heads across the Appalachian Mountains for a meeting with Campbell – the Eagles seeking to stay atop the league’s standings while the Camels seek to rebound from a loss in their last home outing… San Diego steps out of conference play to host Warner, putting its 3-0 mark at Torero Stadium on the line… Freshmen dominated the PFL’s Weekly Awards, winning both the Offensive (San Diego’s Anthony Lawrence) and Special Teams (Jacksonville’s Emoni Williams) honors while a junior won the Defensive award (Butler’s Josh Willis)… In fact, six of this week’s nominees were freshmen, including three of the seven nominees for the league’s offensive award. |
