Former San Diego quarterback Mason Mills (Coronado, Calif.) has signed a professional contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.  Mills, a 2013 Walter Payton Award Watch finalist and the PFL Offensive Player of the Year, was added to Winnipeg’s practice roster along with former Cincinnati Bengals receiver Taveon Rogers.

San Diego’s Most Valuable Player the past two seasons, Mills directed the Toreros to an 8-3 record in 2013.  The 6-0, 195 lb. quarterback turned in an outstanding season by ranking among the nation's best with final passing totals of 256-for-388 for 3,463 yards and 35 touchdowns. He left USD as the all-time leader in three passing departments - 11,104 yards on 887-of-1,338 passing. His 11,104 passing yards ranks second all-time among PFL passers, while his 95 touchdown passes rank second at USD to Josh Johnson's 113 total (2004-2007).
